Finally I have touched Satio as it has been launched in Bahrain week ago and the price around $810 but couldn’t test it yet. My concern is the side buttons that look very cheap compare to the previous versions of SE for example K850i.

              Satio review : Overall

i cant say this is only a cameraphone but a smartphone with an exellent walkman audio quality and gaming. this phone suport OPENGL ES 2.0 with omap 3430 and also this is the first nHD gaming phone.

Camera is very good though not the best, if there is the other phones can be better than this but it doesnt mean satio camera quality is bad.Fortunetly, this phone is a smartphone which make this phone perfect.

video : Video on the other hand, speaks for itself really. Satio is a king of VGA recorders. Videos are absolutely smooth and very clear. The amount of details is outstanding (well, 3.6MBPS bitrate explains it really :) ) BTW, bitrate used to be 4MBPS in earlier firmwares, however I think it was a good step to decrease it, as it saves battery life AND I didn’t notice any decrease in quality :)(Source :Marzukwic)

Battery : Ok, so when it comes to actual battery life, in y opinion 1000mAh Lithium-Polymer battery Sony Ericsson has supplied us with is 100% sufficient. It will allow you to use your phone for about 2-3 days of medium use. When you are a type that uses the phone all the time, for taking pictures, calling, listening to music, browsing the internet, then you can expect a full day, but no more than that. Unless to use your phones extremely hardly, you shouldn’t run of of power during the day.

If you use your phone moderately (like me), the phone should last a day and a half (for example I don’t do much calling :P ). Nevertheless, I still recommend charging your phone daily overnight.

Anyway, you shouldn’t run of of power during the day, as most reviewers are suggesting. This is 100% black marketing. And if you really are an extreme user – you watch few movies a day, you shot a lot of videos and you play 3D games all the time, then yes, you will have to carry CPP-100 or a spare battery with you :P But that would be the case with ANY device I think.

P.S. Battery life is FAR better than iPhones. Sony Ericsson uses some (unknown to me) software tweaks to improve the battery life. I think everyone will agree they they are the market leader when it comes to battery life. And I believe there more to it than just high quality Lithium-Polymer batteries (everyone else uses Lithium-Ion). Just look at some mid-range Nokia device, and mid-range Sony Ericsson.. with same battery capacity and also very similar set of features. Sony Ericsson is FEW times better when it comes to battery life, but as I said, I don’t know the details of the tweaks they use :)

Nevertheless, once again, Sony Ericsson didn’t disappoint us when it comes to battery life :) (and not only with that ;) )

Screen : The screen itself is excellent. 3.5inch, nHD resolution is only one part of the spec. Manufactured by Sony, is the other part. Sony has always been, and will always be a market leader when it comes to picture quality. Satio only proves it. I’d say the screen is better than on OmniaHD, even though (in theory) older technology is used. The only drawback is that it’s a bit less bright, but it is definitely bright enough, particularly on full settings.

There are only 4 buttons on Satio, and all are very solid and responsive. They are not fiddling around at all.

              Music : exellent!!

Many SE haters always complain satio because it doesnt support 3.5 mm jack, actually the complain is only for them, their problem and not for SE fans coz SE fan can buy SE headset which is great!! and also Satio user can buy a converter to support 3.5mm jack.

Satio is great except for SE hater

                      Hi guys, i'm back.

I've had a few questions about the video quality? Well, the video on the Satio that I have in front of me right now, is pretty good in my opinion. I've seen the Omnia HD video and i can honestly say that Omnia beats Satio, but the Satio is pretty awesome already. Omnia's video is just even better.

A note about youtube, when people upload the videos, the quality sometimes gets downgraded a bit or ruined. This could be due to many reasons such as converting the videos, resizing the videos etc etc.

My Satio's working fine. Lasts around 2 days with moderate use and i'm content with it.

i noticed in my Satio that there are two types of video players...one can be found by opening files in the media gallery and other can be reached by opening any video file by going into the file manager in the organiser menu. The second player has better options like video contrast setting, screen size...
