i have booth phones and.. test in HD format on Hd Omnia is MUCH BETTER from D1 (dv video) from other phones or mini-dv cameras!
If you want make the test, look for virtualdub and compare videos from other phones and get the conclusion. Do not say nonsense...

I've had this phone for over a week now. My thoughts:
Great phone, light and is moderatly pleasing asthetically. The lack of 3.5mm jack is a bit of a shame but i can live with the adaptor.
I've had Sony Ericsson phones before and the speaker lives up to it's name.
This is the second time i've come across the Symbian OS (My first time was the Nokia 5800) and i'm fairly pleased with it. The touchscreen is decent although sometimes it does require a few more taps. However, i'm the patient kind of person so it doesn't bother me.
Lag? Well in all honesty, there is a bit. It lacks the ease of the Iphone but i think that lag is bearable. It's not too much, just that you'll have to wait a second or two when openning a big folder. By the way, I absolutely love the gallery. No lag there, it's extremly smooth.
Camera is fantastic. Absolutly no complaint. Puts just about all other phones i've had to shame. Does everything you ever wanted.
Video is pretty awesome really. I haven't had the Omnia HD or whatever, but in my eyes, the video quality is awesome. Not to mention the awesome 3.5 inch display in which i can watch whatever.
The camera cover can get annoying sometimes, but thats because i haven't had a Cybershot before and i'll get used to it.
Wifi/internet is fast enough for me. You'll have to take a while to get used to the browser though, it does tend to do strange things. The accelerometer is really awesome and fast, but sometimes when you hold it the wrong way, you have to move it around a while to get the screen back up the right way and it looks a little dumb when you're doing that.
I don't use the mini QWERTY keyboard, only the big QWERTY keyboard. Not much point using the handwriting recognition thing as i don't want the stylus dangling off my phone.
All in all, a great phone for me. A few things i'd like to have been improved but i'm 100% sure that I have no regrets buying this phone.

if you have a little engineering mind then you will realize that its not HD quality video if you watch it on HD tv screen ,,
yes it is recording 24 fps , but the quality will not match any HD - trust me .

I have Omnia and Satio... Satio is looser vs Omnia in more tests...

i'm currently considering to buy this phone, however i'd like to know about texting. does it have the option to changed viewing of text messages to "chat view"? also, what's it like texting with this phone?

Mick Again thanks for more response...da thing is I kinda doubt is da symbian or da system..I use w900 which is java and never have any problem..I alot hear nokia phone who use symbian havin problem...I waitin this phone like crazy cause here havent availabl yet untill I read da review which make me spirit down...But again I think I have to c da phone to decide but I'll 79% sure I'll buy da beautiful thing

I 'll give a short review (my personal experience with the phone)
UI interface- normal symbian s60v5 ,with a few changes from SE looks nicer in some part compare to nokia(main screen layout,short cuts,media player,etc)if u used a symbian phone u'll have no problem with this.
Screen &Response- I enjoy the screen res and color produced by satio ,even though is the same res as nokia n97 but the color looks alot better compared.It is responsive and fast.it can lagg abit some times when u r browsing through media,depends on how much staff u've got,but besides that everything is sweet.
Camera & interface- The main priority for the satio,u won't be disappointed.best in a mobile phone,not becuase is 12mp but it produce nice colors(real color),sharp&clear photos,fast speed in takeing a shot and user friendley interface.it does have one cons though,is they could of lower the noise level when takeing indoor shots(medium light condition).but still best in mobile and xenon flash really makes alot of difference.
music & interface - produce nice sound ,crisp & clear audio quality and smooth playing.again is symbian music interface so nothing special and it lacks of an equalizer (pretty sure they'll update through firmware)or u can find a 3rd party one for mean time.
Loudspeaker - It has a single speaker,it produce above average quality (considered it only has single speaker)better then the n97 though...
Application - its a symbian so u can find lots of apps for this phone and pretty much compatible for with most of the apps nokia use (except some that r exclusively developed for nokia).
Battery life - i've keep the phone on for over 24 hours now,within this time i took around 20 shots with xenon flash,20 min of music through speaker,20min of talk time ,installed few apps ,transfering files with bluetooth(20 pictures,few apps),fiddling with it for about 2 hours,etc.still have 10-20% batery life left.
So here is my little review..hope to provide much help...cheers

you do not need to wait one or two years for a better phone :)))
they are already available!!!
If you got the phone - please do not check out other models - you will be really upset.

You should treat Techradar review with a grain of
salt or sugar...
My take on this, if you like the phone, Buy It!
Anyway, you will change your phone in one or two
years time. So, just go for it. There's always a
better phone coming out in the horizon anyway.

I have not gave a phone over 9/10 before every phones has its cons&pro,the cons in satio are lack of equalizer and less apps on play arena(compare to ovi store).but I am positive that sony ericsson will add equalizer in there next firmware update.compare to the features satio provide it is a real multimedia phone that provide pretty much everything u could ask for.people has made comments on its battery life ,but really have to think about the features on board and sony is trying not to increase the size of the handset.for those who worry about the screen res ,the screen has a nice vivid color,superb quality and responsive.
I have no regret on purchaseing the satio,its a top quality phone that has everything u could ask for and is the first smartphone that has a xenon.
For those that owns the phone let us enjoy & those who are considering just think what else is on the market that can compare to Satio.
