I dont get it why ppl are criticising this phone and trying to prove that omnia hd and n900 are better.
It might be your opinion but the main strong point of satio is not its camera but the fact tht it has every feature.
Its the only touchscreen smartphone with a xenon flash in the market, plus led flash as well. Its not the megapixels that people should brag about even thought satio takes very detailed shots.
For me, satio is the best looking smartphone in s60 v5 category, it has a very nice and userfriendly interface, it has the most feature packed camera and has omap3 which is only equalled by omnia hd, and all these things make it the highest rated phone on gsmarena

Sounds like there are a lot of total idiots commenting on here. I like the Satio, think its decent, pity theres no HD recording so prob wait til next year for Samsungs one. The video recording is very important for me, can anyone who actually has this phone plz tell me what the video recording and more importantly the sound recorded is like? Thanks!

If you allow me I would like to share my opinion about the new Sony Ericsson Satio.
First I would like to tell you that in the moment I use SE K810i and before that I had SE W800i.
From both the phones I am very satisfied and frankly I find the SE menu very user friendly.
When I read the article about this phone first I was a little skeptical about its features, especially the Camera - since I am camera man.
When I saw the video made with the Satio Camera from the test here on GSM ARENA, I decided I must have this phone/camera.
What is also very important for me is that this gadget is ALL IN ONE with its OS- Symbian and the WALKMAN.
As I mentioned before the SE Menu (for me) is user friendly and is very familiar to me so I do not have to learn everything from the beginning. For Example: I tested the new I-phone 3GS for few days and it was really hard for me to make a phone call while driving so I had to stop and call, which is not case with any SE Phone I previously used.
SE-My compliments about the new SATIO for which I hope that soon I will be happy owner.

daily, i never use high volume to hear a song. For me it is not necesary and i use SE headphone, i also use 3.5mm jack on my xperia and my friends use nokia then try them all. but if you want to compare the speaker pls which phone speaker will be you compared with fairly ?nokia, lg or samsung also has many phones with bad speakers quality too.

Let's not forget that Pixon12 has D1 video capability. But look at the video sample that Gsmarena took for it's review...just pure crap! LOL! Want proof? Then read the review.

Their products will always attract to a small group of SE fans only. Adaptability issue. They can't have Nokia, Samsung or LG users to switch. It's good to see at least they are using microSD now. And by the way all these so called great quality sound you talk about on Walkman phones could probably be possible with their proprietary jack. Use a regular 3.5mm jack and it becomes mediocre. Try using the speakers...you will be ashamed to admit what you hear. Same goes for their charging port. They are using Li-po which requires delicate charging tech. As Europe is making it mandatory to have micro-usb for charging..I wonder what SE is going to do. Soon they will have to find a way to charge Li-Po with micro-usb or switch to Li-Ion like others.

you can use SE jack...
i dont care about 3.5mm jack because in FACT!!!SE audio quality is very great!!
SE fans dont have any problem with SE audio quality, it is not NOKIA, SAMSUNG or LG fans, if they dont have 3.5mm jack they will have a big problem.

samsung i8910 flat out beats this phone just do a comparison and see for yourself
nokia n900 spanks it, again do a comparison
not to mention you can buy 2 to your 1 satio
and dont even bother about megapixel count cause no one is falling for it

If you are not a die hard fan and just objective in your evaluation. This phone is really weak and lacklusture as a multimedia phone. (If you are a die-hard fan, or you are evaluating it as camera mega-pixel phone as key criteria, you'll love everything this brand churns out)
Why weak:
-Big and bulky due to the slide out camera lens cover
-Reasonable, but not great finishing in terms of material
- UI which is much slower than the best in class of the available competitors.
For it's price, you really expect something outstanding and ahead of any competitor, but it really isn't ahead of the game, more like playing catch up or me-too.

Satio is the best mobile you can ever had.I am using it for last 1 week.Only one phone that can compete with it is iphone.
1.Iphone UI is narrowly better than this one,but satio beat iphone in every other aspect.
2.music quality better than w995[But i have no idea about Aino].
3.for fastport,u can buy a 3.5 mm converter for 5$.you can use a 32gb microsd card[its working].
So Here comes FATHER OF ALL PHONE >[Satio]

"D1 HD" recording vs "VGA"?
720x480 pixels vs 640×480 pixels ????
I could be wrong about the whole resolution deal... but based on the pixels, its not that much different. Stop making it a big deal!

To clarify.... VGA qualtiy is 1.9x better than Youtube quality (interms of pixels)
And whats more important is maximizing the quality of those pixels. And SE Satio does that beautifully! Just check out any video samples online, its largely sufficient for any online activities.

camera quality: samsung omnia hd records video in HD...teh audio problem has been fixed. so, it outweighs VGA recording at 30fps on ths phn. evn nokia N900 has WVGA at 25fps, which is near hd quality.
processor specs: there r some phns out their wth a better CPU, 1ghz speed & all. MOST of the latest phns by every company has 3.5 mm JACK, which this phn unfortunately LACK! wooo! tht rhymed now did't it? lol
it is a good phn i agree but like ALL other phns it has its cons...you don't have to get all excited & act like u work for SE or you're gettin a reward for crying out loud for sayin ths is the best phn out there...if u can afford it thn buy it, but don't say its the best phn out there coz u own it!
if sm1 cant own it doesnt mean they cant talk bout it...you don't have to be an actor urself to say Robert Pattinson can't act for sh*t! he cud be the hottest guy alive, doesnt mean hes a good actor. same applies to Megan Fox. so just coz a phn looks all pretty & cool, & u like it doesnt' mean it has to be the best! get over it & stop crying. peace!
