So SE has indeed pushed back the release date(sigh...). I'm getting an eery feeling about all this. Does this mean that the Satio is having unexpected technical problems or is this a sign that SE is in a deeper trouble than we believe?
I really hope that the next SE phones are adequatly priced and of superior quality, so that SE can survive. IMO no other brand's camera phones can match SE in terms of cheer picture quality. That is something SE is still ahead. Let's hope they don't lose that edge.

Arak, 01 Sep 2009what is the strategy ??? please elaborate I mean when koiyama came after the silly CEO that broke the touch screen strategy and UIQ koiyama restart everything doing new lines and probably abandoning cyber-shot and walkman for bravia and PSP brend (which isn't not yet sure) and in the next anouncement we will see what will be the last move from this smart man and then the coming CEO will officially launch SE in all rounder smartphone market like Nokia or HTC thank's to winmo,android and symbian foundation :)

I've read in a forum that the release date was pushed back, yet again, to 16/10/2009. I've also read that the pre-order price is around 565 Euro. Anyone has more news? Can anyone confirm this?
Continuously pushing back the release date of a product is never a good marketing strategy and considering the current SE finantial situaton, it only makes matters worst. I Hope they compensate all the delays with a sale price below the competition.
If the price is competitive, they still might make it through. After all, Satio is still the only 12 MP smartphone with xenon flash. So, in that particular area, it doesn't have competiton (yet).

Sony used to be my favorite mobile phone with its smart user interface ease of use plus the rigid built, Now what would I do with 12 megapixel and does it worth it I think the concept of having a camera on your mobile is to take pictures When need to record a moment and you will sacrifice the quality for the sake of convenience, and not a big sacrifice too most of the 5 megapixel mobile phone cameras are excellent. We need a smart interface ease of use, longer battery life I am not smart it shows on the way I express my self but I know what I need.

Does this have exactly the same processor as the Omnia HD and iPhone 3GS? Why doesn't GSM Arena add this part for the Satio: PowerVR SGX graphics?

Sony just need to stop making phones. other companies came out with much more advanced phones. Sony has not released this freaking average phone yet? come sony!! you're way behind tech man!!!!

I still can not understand why SE can't release this phone together with W995 at the same time (on June) when they were introduced at the same time. If it was true that there were a lot of things that were not ready at this phone, this phone should not have to be announced on February in MWC 2009. Or even they shouldn't bothered with its 2nd announcement on May in London. Mad
