thats a long string of questions, why dont you go back a few pages to get some answers? it most prob may not use exmor, id love it if it did tho. d1 is possible, so is more internal memory(2gb is sufficient for me) and 256 ram. its resistive and it has a stylus.
why do so many people care about the manufacturers so much? se is responsible for qc, whether they like it or not, and are outsourcing the x series to gain competitive advantage hardware + consumer wise. not that i see the reason to.

Coz while I visited SE Center at my place, the guys there told me that X2 might be in the stores at the end of this year or early 2010. And they also heard about Asustek/ Pegatron, but didn't dare to confirmed about it.
Oh, one more thing, before I forget..., Nokia should be go down!!

Just curious. Will Satio have clear audio experience? Will it have wide angle lens? Will the retail version have 1500mAh Li-Po battery and being capable of recording in D1 format or HD format? Will it come with a stylus like the N97 and lastly will it have 256-288 RAM and 8GB/16GB internal memory?

Why SE needs a partner to make a high-end phone in the first place? We don't hear Samsung or LG outsourcing their high-end phone to 3rd party. X2 is not a lame entry-level phone that should be outsourced for lower cost. And that is when they already had a bad history with HTC. I'm sure no one wants to see the same thing happening with x2.

The possibility is that SE doesn't have enough resources yet in WinMo based phones, thats why they still need third party. To me, that 's no problem.

all phones from different companies are manufactured by third party, that doesn't really matter. what matters is who is researching and developing the phone, show is designing (mechanical, RF, baseband, software, applications, customization, antenna & marketing) that is what counts.
Most of the manufacturers are either in china, taiwan, malaysia (like Flextronics, Foxconn, greeberry, sagem, HTC etc) these are not real R&D they are just manufacturing site who works on contracts with these phone companies.
Just chill out, u need know where it is manufactured, just know which company it belongs to.

The 3 models Aino, Satio and Yuri were made by SE Japan. I think the Xperia will be make by Sony Ericsson Japan, not by other company. We have to wait more, to see the truth.

and I forgot to mention when Xperia X2 comes out the Samsung fans will be so jealous bec. the SE Xperia X2 has new feautures and this SE phone Xperia X2 was 1st original made by Sony Ericsson and was not hand over by HTC not like the Xperia X1 it was just habd over by HTC bec. they didn't finished it so they hand it over to SE and SE finished the Xperia X1 but now the Xperia X2 was really made by SE and was NOT hand over...
