Yes this is an almost perfect phone on paper only except:
1: too thick - 15mm
2: 1000 mAh battery is a bad joke
3: Li-Po battery - Se can not make it reliably
4: usual bad reception expected
5: screen technology TFT - outdated (see OLED!)
otherwise probably okay on paper.
The rest is unknown to us yet.
making some guesses:
- quality control will be bad
- buggy software due to hardware problems
- lousy case strength
Totally outdated by the time of release!

Except the specs are not so great.
12mp is not needed if the image quality is not up to it.
Currently this size of CMOS can not, CAN NOT, produce good quality 12mp image!!!!
(look at digital cameras with much larger sensor have trouble producing decent quality.
+++++ the lens this size can not work as well as in a digital camera!!!! Small cheap lens!)
By 2010, these specs are outdated!

SE loses money each quarter. Now there is a financial recession. It will hit the market end of this year.
SE may even close business for a while.
Japan is in a huge financial crisis. IT will get even worst.
600-700Euro phone will not have huge sales. Low sale volume does not make up for the tooling, advertisement etc.
The mean time Samsung HD, Nokia, Motorola etc. will take the potential buyers since they will release their models earlier.
(lets not argue whether they are better phones :))

I love sony ericsson phones but im not gonna buy this, its a peace of crap. I hate this phone, i love SE phones but i think im gonna buy N97 its soooo coool yes i love SE phones thats why i will buy N97

You talk like the Idou is out now... Well it isn't, and by the time it is, there will be more announced 12MP phones, and some may even be out before Idou... And Nokia will have 8MP phones that will make better photos then all of those 12MP... Because it's not all about the megapixels, you stupid, it's about sensor and lens quality... And SE sucks in that, c905 is the proof
And Idou is like c905 all over again... it was the first announced 8MP phone, but INNOV8 was out sooner, and it had better pictures

another BARBARIAN i've said that you calimed tha... morei do own more than one phone. i have a N95 and a samsung innov8. and by the way, im not boasting, but i do live in london and im not exactly drowning in poverty, so to suggest i cannot afford phones, thus why i slate them is a ludicrous prospect.
I am well capable of buying any phone that comes out, im just saying the samsung omnia HD is a far better phone.

SE designs are more attractive and well finished
SE is more famous amoung people
SE has much higher potential then samsung
SE provides motion sensor gaming and shake control in most of their walkman phones.............
SE battery backup is more then samsung............
