Buddy, Nokia is rated the BEST camera phone producer in the industry. The n86 is rated to have better picture quality than ACTUAL CAMERAS!!! you're just an ignorant trash talker that has nothing to back your trash talk up. Sony use carl ziess lenses on thier digital cameras, but not on thier phones. GUESS WAT buddy, NOKIA uses carl ziess lenses on THIER PHONES.

The fact is SE running its business really badly:
1: not customer / not fan orientated
- no tech info
- no manufacture
- no 3.5 mm jack
- etc.
2: producing lousy products lately
- X1 fiasco
- Idou 1000mAh battery - bad joke
- useless 12mp noisy camera
3: extremely slow release
- announce early, deliver late
smart PR and fool the fans - they get worked up but by the time of release the phone almost outdated.
(see X1) and it has bugs, and not reliable.
So the next 6 months the fans spend updating. By the time all updates are kinda fix the model it is totally outdated. And they are looking forward to get the next ju..nk model.

this tiny 12mgp sensor will produce a poster with full of noise.so this mobile is not for camera,only multimedia,for being a best multimedia it is not necessary to have a better camera.TV-series and video clips in true 16:9 widescreen format isnt it cool enough!!!

example is w910, w980.. the price was so "woooow" when it 1st come..
but, they made some gud improvements... example w705..

It's not a surprise and yet again lets wait for 2 weeks for "more entertainment unlimited" and "idou's fullspecs" and more upcomings phones.
Moreover Idou will be one of 2009 greatest phones for sure.

The sensor size of camera phones are so small that the quality of a digital camera so much better since the sensor size much larger and the electronics much more advanced.
The DLRs are has so much bigger sensors that it is pointless to compare.
The compact digital cameras already have much larges sensors and lenses and that itself enough to outperform the phones. The much more advances electronics just increases the difference.
A relatively good compact camera is about 400-500 USD.
(DSLR 1500 and up)
You pay for performance and quality when you get a digital camera - a phone will not produce similar quality.
That is the reason that today a 12mp phone camera is pointless. Much better to have a 5-8mp phone with great lens and less dense sensor - better quality.
12mp sensor more dense producing more noise and artifact with out the benefit of useful resolution.
For normal size print (8.5x11 or A4 - people rarely print this size or larger) 5-8mp is more than enough resolution.
12mp is just a PR/ / SALES gimmick without merit - actually it has disadvantage since with the same technology an 8mp sensor would produce a much better image!!!!!!!

I am not the only one thinks that 1000mAh battery was a bad joke for this model.
It was and is SE responsibility to clarify it if it was a mistake - but they (SE) failed to do so, although it was questioned all over the net: forums articles etc.
I can only think SE really want to release this model with a 1000mAh battery!
Now that is something you can protest about - :)))))))

what kind of game is se playing on with idou? everything is still mysterious. this is absolutely will not giving se any good credit of what they've done.
se, you had loosing much-much-much-much money in the last Q. but for now you are playing trial n error to your flagship. how come? or maybe idou is just a phone for you, like the others se? wake up you all guys, unless you are digging your own grave! you are writing your epitaph! i hate to say that but i'm telling you the truth.

Oh it looks amazing! I will be hanging out for this one.
I have always loved Sony Ericsson's because they have an excellent menue set up. I like the way they type messages. Now I'm not "up-to-smarts" with mobile phones these days, but the OS, is it or will it be the same as the Samsung Omnia?
(Sort of looks like a mini Microsoft Windows, horrible to type messages on, really poor Folder set up, you can't find photos or music on it, a whole bunch of unnecessary programs, and you need a "pen" to use it because the little "OK" (button/on the touchscreen) is TINY and you can't use your finger tips like you can on the Iphone.) Anyway, so I was asking if it will be like that? I hope that Ericsson has it's own touch screen Menue layout and "Create new message" screen. =]
I just had a look at the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1, and yes, it has the HORRIBLE Windows OS. God it's bad. Poor response time (slow when typing messages), hard to find anything (pictures that have been bluetoothed, transfered via USB etc. They're scattered into folders through the phone) You have to use that stupid stick unlike the Iphone, and I'm very disappointed.
When the Iphone brings out something bigger and better I think I'll be going with that instead. Since they're the first to make the trend, they'll be the first making the upgrades.
