imac, 27 Sep 2010If you are a smart man you buy n8.....satio's ui is so clun... morei use spb shell software..with that software i can change and customize my satio UI...n also can change ur homescreen...it depends at urself which u creative or not..i also use opera mobile which support pinch zoom..if u compare samsung galaxy S with satio, which i can say samsung galaxy UI is the best...if u compare with N8.hurmm sorry to say...N8 n satio is also symbian..same OS...

Sure bot... moresatio also have software call BEST PICTURE which it can snap 9 picture with hi resolution which N8 cant do that..LENS COVER is very important to me becoz it can guard from scratches n smudge..n8 have anti cratches only at screen display...not at it lens camera..

Hey guys, last week i was trying to downgrade my software but i failes, in the SE page which sme 1 posted ovef wasnt so clear , can sme one pliz give me a brief instructions and coming back to apps, guys dnt u see the applications at mobile9 are soooooooooooo out of date? Isn't there another site for apps??...

Nokia n8 has a very strong gpu n symbian^3 supports full hardware acceleration meaning support of great 3D games also symbian^3 brings new stuff like cover flow,multi touch support,pinch zooming and a polished web browser. Without forgetting the nokia n8 comes with a full anodised aluminium body forget the cheap plastic feel of satio

... moreEven specs wise the N8 and satio are worlds apart. Sure both have a 12MP camera but the N8 uses an extremely large image sensor. This results in far less noise in the pics leading to higher quality. The camera is capable of recording in HD(720p). The screen may be a 3.5" one but it is a capacitive multi-touch screen. The lens cover is not that important in my opinion but I would've liked the same. A toughened glass can last long without scratches. What tilts the comparison in N8's favour is that it comes with Nokia's backing and software support. Nokia doesn't abandon its customers the way SE does(They parted ways with symbian dumping satio/vivaz users).
Now, whether I would sell off my satio and get an N8? In one word, NO. The satio functions well as a phone and its 12 MP stills are rather good (good enough for me). Also my Intelligence (:P) won't allow me to take a 35% financial hit just to chase specs jumping from one phone to another. The next time I will upgrade is when a true camera replacement comes on the market(With proper zoom,brilliant optics and improved sensors). So I hold hope that the altek leo exist and will be released.

N8-Rs.24000-Rs.30000 (qoutes from various sources)
Now there is one thing that the satio can do that the N8 can't(atleast for now). That is taking panorama shots. That is one part of the satio that I love.

n's, 27 Sep 2010vivaz processor is 700mhz n satio have 600mhz processor...v... moreFirstly the satio and the vivaz share the same hardware components.It is just that the vivaz is clocked at 720 MHz. Now even though the satio's processor is rated at 600MHz it is actually capped to 450 MHz. The proof of this exists on several internet forums. They are similar to an extent that crossflashing of their firmwares is possible. Due to their same internal setup the satio is actually capable of playing and recording HD but SE decided to degrade the satio to its present condition.
Now the N8, I have not touched it till date but from the specs and the pics/vid samples itself i've arrived at the conclusion that the N8 would be better. Then there is nokia's brilliant track record of updating its phones. Even the 5800 is showered with updates even today and I assume the same would continue for the N8. The price diff wouldn't be much I believe at least from the figures I've read for my country.

I had my satio since february. Its a real nice phone; didnt have too much problems. Only it sticks a little when you dont have enough memory and too much files. It needs 720p recording though and flash.

I also happen to be a satio owner but I would recommend you that the N8 over the satio.

They run on the same configuration the cortex A8. But the satio seems to have a lower spec battery. Atleast it is hackable by downgrading. The vivaz I have heard is unhackable.
