or Idou is considered X2???????
but it is a totally different model.
I can not believe that X2 (like the X1) can be released in 2009 - not even announced yet.
SE is late with everything. They totally missed the boat (smartphone market)

SE can manufacture this model in Japan. SE is unable to manufacture it - period.
X1 made by HTC, and HTC also helped with the development.
X2 will be made by mobinnova - as a cost cutting solution.
Idou? anyone knows who will make it?

you guys are right se loose it competìtìvity for a year now and they alreadz knew it then they chose to manufacture low cost phone and cancel some phone ane fired labour and cut the r&d but if you take a closer look you would see that se internal copy se japan and the idou and w995 are the counterpart of s001 and premier3 and don't worry there are two impressives in addition to the x2 who will be made by mobinnova that will be launch this year

Toshiba is very good, Sony Ericsson Japan is also good. And I think Motorola does not have an Idou killer phone, Motorola is going down, and I think not even LG does not have a phone to compete the Idou, I think only the Nokia N97 can compete, or the Samsung HD!!!

Yup,my last sony phone is w800,,it's legendary fone,then i tried nokia nseries,sammy ultra n smartfone,even moto rokr e6....and my conclusion is there are much better phone than sony phone

SE bought by uninformed customers. Se sends on advertisement and PR a lot.

Se made good phones years ago.
before K850, but even then N82 was better.
older SE models were better, but they never made big hits like iphone, V3, or Nokia (6110?).

Omnia can be the new Iphone or Motorola V3.
Good for the customers! For all of us. Finally a great phone - hopefully.
I wonder what Apple and others will do?
I hope Samsung not will be paid to slow down - like after V3 Motorola did.

Why they said se is best maker phone when :
- every review from gsmarena,m-r,,sony always defeated like k850 vs n82/n95 g800 then c905 vs innov8
- every year always at 3rd (top),4th,5th while nokia n samsung always 1st nd 2nd with big margin
- from 2008 till 2009 always bleeding
- se sales volume in NAM very2 poor..se wins at scandinavian country only
- their smartfone always defeated (uiq-xperia winmo)
- their video recording always inferior compared to nokia (vga 30fps),sammy (hd 24fps,qvga 120fps,vga 30fps) and lg (vga 30fps,qvga 120)
- low sales volume
SE wins at battery only

I can not imagine that Se will be able to release Idou in a recession without some other company´s help - that means Se will not make a dime on it - only save its reputation.
X1 was released with the help of HTC - but HTC was smart enough not to make it a big success :) SE got really p.ssed.
Now Se is in the same position - but who will be the new partner?
The saga continues. :)

The fact is Samsung, Toshiba, Apple, HTC, LG and even Motorola has some Idou killer just about to be released.
SE˙s best choice to cancel the model and fuse with another company - toshiba?

... moreLook at random restart on k850,buggy slowly x1 (low demand sales,omnia classic sales 70% bigger than x1 and now x1 price fallin down compared to omnia),crap earpiece on c905,low signal on w890,w910,buggy uiq g900,crappy lcd on w610 etc
And se has much2 complaints from se user..their quality like chinese brand phones..
Once again se can't match big two (nokia 37%-sammy 19%),even the newbie lg beats sony...poor sales in whole 2008,and q1 2009 loss again..
And idou defeated when fight to hd,and arena surely beats idou

But, what do you expect from a company who unable to put a 3.5mm jack on their models for years.
Now, Idou (Viewty clone two years late) introduced with a 1000mAh battery.
Ovetpaid boarfd memebers making incompetent decisions - see X1 manufaturing by HTC.
I really hope they get their act together because SE had a great potential - had more or similar to Nokia.
Now, Nokia vary profitable - Se losses money
Nokia outsell SE 10:1 (smarphones)
(6:1 overall)
Releasing phones late with outdated specs and with bugs for high price would take down any company.

But, as far as smartphone market share SE is even worst than you listed.
Since Idou is a smartphone attempt - it is more relevant to talk about the smartphone industry not the overall cell phone business.
SE is far from having 7% - very far while Nokia above 40%.
