I also think that Idou would be great product with most of the innovative features embedded into it. Beside that the 12.1 MP camera and music quality would be for watching.. Let us see what the phones does when launched

SONY, has no word about it yet.

I will be one among plenty who will shy away from the IDOU if the real phone will be a resistive screen.
I have a W760i and waiting for the IDOU release as my primary phone.

It means you can't play games on it or it will be extremely difficult since you can only press one button at a time (no multi-touch). This is a deal breaker for me.
The reason why Sony is sticking with resistive touch screen is because it's older technology and cheaper to implement. Or they are afraid of being sued by Apple. Apple obtained a patent for multi-touch screen on mobile devices.

Hi to all the viewers i honestly don't really care about the size of the screen and what ever the others said bout the idou, i just love the fact that the idou has a 12 MP camera an memory to hold my bad a*s sounds any way i gotta have it anyone knows the price HOLLA

Anonymous, 07 Mar 2009Somebody knows the reason why Sony preferred a resistive to... moreI prefer resistive, as you don't have to worry about how you press, you can be more accurate by using a nail or stylus, plus with a good one you don't have to apply any really noticable pressure, but you still have the ability to not quite press, so you don't make accidental selections

This phone will not be able to record HD. The only good thing about this phone is that it has got a 12MP camera, that's about it...

SONY, has no wor... moreI saw a few video demos on the internet and sony clearly states that the phone will be a resistive touch screen and no 3.5mm headphone jack. Resistive touch screen is just terrible. I've used it before and never liked it. The screen isn't as clear because of the multilayer of film, can be damaged easily, and does not support multitouch...

I think this is another wonder made by SonyEricsson, I love their phone's and I think that it is mobile brand number 1 in world.
