More over ericsson, i can say has richer features than samsung which is really needed in user experience satisfaction. Although HD phone quite a statement. I believe ericsson will also have this feature and bring bravia on their phone models.hahahahah!

actually its a good phone we cant judge it instead we touch it n use it,i'll got the demo piece week n we'll see what will happen.

All i can say is....Amazing. Fantastic. I love it. I trust ericsson so much when it comes to camera phone. They weren't wrong in choosing sony as partner.. I've been long waiting for this model.

Well this is certainly a good phone, but i can't help but notice the lack of a stereo speaker.... like whats a good multemedia device without it. pls for some reason i hope im wrong...

Also, you can expect full HD video recording from Idou. Coz hackers will easily come up with modofications that will open up the full HD video capabilities
Also, 3.5mm jack is not essential to be inbuilt. You can easily find a 3.5mm converter jack for less than $5

A. Actually Mega Pixels is not about quality but size, 12MP is bigger size than 8MP so we can get more clearer detail picture when we zoom closer the picture than 8MP and also we can get a bigger wallpaper or photograph than 8MP.
Q. So how about with the picture quality ?
A. Picture Quality of this idou camera is great because Sony Ericsson use new CMOS sensor from EXMOR ( IMX060PQ, a 1/2.5 CMOS image sensor ) apparently, has the industry’s highest Megapixel count: 12.25 MP with highest quality right now.it can record 1080p @ 27 fps and 720p @ 30fps video too.

Q. Do you mean Idou can record 1080p video (Full HD Video) ?
A. Yes. It can because the camera quality it self can record full HD video quality as long as the phone has processor speed and storage are also capable of the same speed.
Q. what do you think if Idou only has VGA video ?
A. it means SE doesn’t use the camera at full quality and don’t worry it must be highest VGA video quality in the world and doesn’t make idou to be more expensive than use HD Video.
Q. how about with the price ?
A. The new 12.25 MP sensor is equipped with autofocus and it will be available staring March 2009. Its price is said to be of 2,500 Japanese yen ($26), so the phones to include it should not be more expensive than the 8 Megapixel ones that are already on the market.
Q. How about with the music quality ?
A. Great, it has new walkman series quality with clear audio and clear bass are the winner in Europe music technology
Q. does it have 3.5 mm jack ?
A. I haven’t known it yet because SE hasn’t released their full spec about this phone, the full spec will be announced in march or april.If it has 3.5mm jack that is good but it doesn’t have it don’t worry SE has the highest earphone quality will be included in the package.SE knows their music quality so just relax.

why does it have great image quality ?
in recent years, the convenience offered by cameras in mobile phones has driven an increase in their use, while demand for higher image quality has also continued to grow. In addition, as mobile phone designs have become more refined, and models become smaller and thinner, the need for further miniaturization in mobile phone camera technology has also increased. To meet these requirements, improvements in both image quality and sensor miniaturization must be achieved, but the more the shrinking process is continued, the more difficult it becomes to gather light into the sensor pixels, leading to the risk of image degradation resulting from reduced sensitivity and S/N levels.
The newly developed CMOS image sensor "IMX060PQ" leverages Sony's proprietary formation technology to deliver the industry's smallest unit cell size*1 (1.4µm), and the industry's highest pixel count*1 (12.25 effective megapixel resolution). The implementation of a Cu process that achieves extremely fine interconnections, together with the sensor's unique pixel structure and improvements in condensing efficiency have realized high sensitivity levels and a high S/N ratio, despite the industry's smallest*11.4µm size unit cell. Furthermore, Sony's proprietary "Column-Parallel A/D Conversion technique" minimizes image quality degradation cased by noise that arises during analog processing, while also enabling higher pixel count and frame rates (10 frames/s for "IMX060PQ" and 15frames/s for "IMX046PQ").
By enhancing its "Exmor™" range of CMOS image sensors, used in product lineups such as digital SLR cameras and high definition digital video cameras as well as mobile phones, Sony will aim to meet customer needs for advanced imaging performance comparable to dedicated compact digital still cameras in slimline, camera enabled mobile phones.

how can a 12mp pixel camera fool u like that? is it the only thing u look for in a fone? get a digicam then...
take a look at other fones too b4 u say this whatever is the best whatever
have u ever seen Lg's Arene or SAMSUNG's Omnia HD?
i dont say this is a bad fone, i just say its not logical to base yr judgement solely on one feature..i think u guys are just a bit excited about the 12mpcamera

U R WRONG dude.
i dont know about this idou thing, but LG's new ARENA fone certainly does. just check its UI on utube.
