y do manufacturers continue to use resisitve/pressure sensitive touchscreen technology wen consumers clearly prefer capacitive touchscreens? (eg: iphone, lg prada, lg prada 2, all htc android phones...) or better yet use optical which only 1 company to date has used
pros of resistive touchscreen:
u can use it with anything as long as u push hard enough
cons:
-not v responsive
-not accurate unless u use a stylus (which is soooo popular on winmo)
-cheap material must be used, the more the screen bends, the more responsive. the phone usually has lots of scratches (sometimes even by the stylus) if the screen is not protected properly
-uses several layers of screen (up to 800 on some displays) this really makes the image displayed on the screen worse and appears faded also sunlight legibility gets worse
-doesnt support multitouch
capacitive
pros:
responsive
supports multitouch
u CAN use a stylus (look at pogo stylus which works even if ur wearing gloves)
cons:
unless u wna carry around a pogo stylus it only works with ur finger (and not even ur finger nail) so it might be a bit less accurate
optical:
v responsive
supports multitouch
u can touch it with anything and it will work
cons:
so far this was only used on neonode phones which were d first touchscreen phones to let u scroll through menus by sweeping ur finger (popularized by apple) they also were the first to feature: slide to unlock (copied and popularized by apple) and recently they went bankrupt

16mil colours hmm..it would be fun!! more eyecandies.. Nice SE i've been waiting for tis..even u kinda late for it though.. I want SE new other qwerty phone...dont really like X1,dont like touchscreen too.. :( too busy to use

when we see "TV Out" po sa GSM arena as specs ng isang particular Cellphone, it doesnt necessarily means pede cya mkapanood ng TV.. it means po may connectivity Jack n pede i-connect from phone to TV para u can use the TV as monitor for viewing ng mga Videos installed on the phone,
otherwise, TV Tuner/ Broadcast receiver and nakalagay means nkakatanggap or may reception function si CP to view real time TV Broadcast..
