    To person below..

    I suggest you go here..
    http://asia.cnet.com/reviews/handphones/

I would say the T610 kicks the 7250i's ass anytime...

CNet never cover all the minor bits which makes me like the T610, but overall, it still beats the 7250i.

It is not knowledge of how a camera works that I need yes its not a dedicated camera but holding my T610 on a solid surface that is fixed to the ground the end result is a blured picture which is still not quite acceptable Im not expecting super fine pixel coding but reasonable quality if other manu's can offer 16bit camera's and gives a better result then SE should strive to push the boat out and seeze the market ...still i havent found and overall better equiped fone yet inparticular value for money

It is a good overall mobile..

As for your picture problem to peterb...

The T610 is a phone. It does not have a flash. Therefore, when you take images, if the surrounding is dark, the shutter speed will automaticall be set to slower to allow more light into the phone. This is a better method compared to the 7250i's camera where it uses contrast and brightness to control the lighthing and not shutter.

There is two way to get a decent picture with not too much light. Shutter left open, or you just change the brightness settings. The case with the brightness settings is that of the 7250i. The case with shutter is the T610. While slower shutters normally produces very good images, it needs to be still. While the shutter is still open, you could had moved, that way it blurs out.

If you, my friend don't understand what I'm talking about, I suggest you go and read up on 'how a camera works' or something.

By the way, the 7250i's camera isn't a VGA one either..

One thing I must point out is that when Sony and Ericsson joined forces it was because they needed something from each other
whats missing in the New Sonyericsson handsets Bar the P800/P900 is bass in the Ear piece this is proberly because in the far east they have a different listening level higher than ours in the west so the new handsets by Sonyericsson sound so tinny tomuch treble where as the original Ericsson mobiles had bassline that rocked because the audio in the headset was designed by Bang and Olsen from Denmark and tuned to our Ear's in the west I know this because most Hi=Fi imported into europe especially Sony and Aiwa sounded tiny in the early 80's so Sony and Aiwa had the Speaker boxes made in Wales to geta more westernised sound Bass ....peter ...London

I have this phone the T68i the T39m the T600
Now firstly let me say the camera suffers distortion after picture is taken its clear through the camera its just when you press the camera button to take shot it freezes image for a couple of seconds then the result is a slightly blured image quit poor even compared to a Nokia 7250 which has only 4096 colour screen so you'd think having a 65k screen images would be clear but this is only because the camera is poor quality its not even VGA a cheap alternative Cif type I believe.
Ringtones sound amazing but pppplease wheres the Volume if your outside in a Bar/Pub /Club you will not the mobile ringing if its in your pocket is just as bad in a noisy enviroment as the Vibratio on all the latest Sonyericssons are so weak pity I love the phone but its let down by the simplest of things Oh and another thing the blue tooth does not recognise other T610's such as my friends even if they have a name given to their phone my phone and theirs find each other but insists the other is unknown Da!
Email attachments it does not open them nor does my T68i or my T39m

                        @ James..

Sorry to hear.. but you're the only person with this problems.. my calls rarely drops unless I'm in bermuda triangle.. and all your problems are non existance in my set..

As for differences with T610 and T630, design is another differences. So is the software and also the hardware has some upgrades to overcome some issues the T610 had. The upgrade can be seen with the ability to use the SE Gamepad

                          hi DMX,

                          U said: "The T610 and T630 has it's differences..."

I've compared the 2 phones (based on the data provided here), it seems that only the screen (STN to TFT) is the significant difference.

Any other notable changes/difference to mention?

I have had two T610s and being an Ericsson fan I was looking forward to the business features of the phone combined with the sexy design. What I got was a great looking device that dropped calls, hung up mid conversation, and would mute randomly for no apparent reason. I have tried different SIMS in the same phone and my SIM in another handset and had the same issues. Coupled with the faulty charger that came in the box (CST-13) it has been a disappointment! SE - less design, better build!!

The T610 is not likely to be stopped..

                                The T610 and T630 has it's differences...

The 7250 and 7250i only has software upgrades..

T630 has a new look and keypad to it when compared to the T610. T630 seems targetted more at youth while the T610 has the business looks..

                                To the person below:
V200 has more memory, better screen and maybe louder polyphonic, but software is terrible on it. Features almost non existance for a 2003 phone. IR can't do anything at all. Battery life very short. LoL.. go figure =)..

Fearing the expected drop in value of the T610 due to the introduction of the T630, I'm glad to have successfully let go of my 1-mth old T610, at a pretty good price too!! hehe!

Perhaps with the introduction of T630, SE might cease T610 - juz like what Nokia did to 7250 with its 7250i.

Though T610 is a pretty handy fone, I dun see myself buying its successor, T630 - cos having been a Nokia-user since 1996, I have slight discomfort adjusting to SE. And the 2mb memory irks me!

                                      What do you mean middle?

Not so expensive and not so cheap?

The T610, but you can argue that since the 3650 is around the same price range, that can be considered if you can stand the keypad and design and size.
