PEPE,
T616 made for the US market only which is supported 850Mhz instead of 900Mhz like T610, others are the same.
Really good phone.

I think it's worth the price even if it only has 2mb. There are loads of other stuff in there.
Sadly, memory is an issue. But then, would you rather have a 7250 with 5mb or a T610 with 2mb?
We know they are in the same price range, and we clearly know who is the winner.
Samsung V200? It's more expensive, has more memory, but only for pictures. Can't save lots of java or tones. Messaging? Like shit..

I have doubt in that =(..
Have checked with SE and it seems that the memory is sort of like intergrated with the phone and can't be expanded.
I though 2mb was enough.. but seems kinda limited.. especially when I just found out that the speakers on the phone can actually play *.amr files (recorded sound files) loudly. If the speaker can do this, wonder why don't they have a speaker phone function?..

The T610 looks really stylish, I'm tired of having nokia phones and I want to try this SE phone... BUT i've just discovered through this site that it has only 2 mb of memory! Too bad! Lots of great stuff u can get from the WAP.. softwares, games, music, wallpapers, etc.. 2 mb wont be enough... Does anyone know if the memory is upgradeable?

RE: Upgraded Software
SE does not release software to be user upgraded like Siemens does. You'll have to go to a certified SE dealer to get it upgraded. If you have your warrenty, it's free. I got mine upgraded at a local certified Sony Ericsson service center..
RE: Characters per name
30 Characters for name
15 Character for title (Eg. Manager)
30 Character for company
Let's say his name is John. He's the president of ABC Corporation. In the phone book it'll appear as..
John ABP Corporation President.
30+15+30 so it's 75 characters. Enough? =P

I am interested in this model and I like to know how many characters per name can I store in the phonebook. I usually store name and follow by company's name, such as, John ABC Corporation.
Thanks.

T610 is agreat phone with lots of feature than other phone i've used. The only thing i wish is for the SE company to release a new software for it to be able to customized its message alert tone, and makes the software to run much faster. This would make the phone much more great and complete.

Talk about customer service, I got my software upgraded today in less than 30 minutes also considering the fact that was another one being upgraded.
Also, I emailed them 24 hours ago and within 12 hours I got a reply. That's even faster service =)
This chap from Great Britain has been a very great help.
The new software improves the T610 alot. Much faster, polyphonic louder now. Camera has shortcuts now (1 for size, 2 to switch night mode, 3 for effects [Normal, Black&White, Sephia, Negative] 4 for timer). Previously, you are required to press the 'More' menu.

This phone absolutely rocks! It's great. I haven't found a single bug in the software. There are some strange things however, like a ringtone always starts playing crescendo, but it doesn't bother me a lot. The customer service is great also. I mailed them several times and got a decent answer within 2 working days. Great job SE. That's how you get to the top.

Ive come to the conclusion that all these little weeners who slag off the T610 phone are just jealous due to the fact that are still using Nokia Brick phones with no colour display!
@ the unknown - go stick ur nokia where the sun doesnt shine!

Sure, the GD87/88 has a nice screen that doesn't scratch. What about software nonsence, large, and not to mention disasterous battery life?
