this phone is pretty gd. quite light and has a nice screen. a little laggy though. and the camera should have improved from the t610. and if u are interested, might wanna get the black version.

Nothing much.. Sony wasn't too big of a player in the mobile market. As mentioned, Sony helped Ericsson in the technology part why Ericsson helped Sony in the communication part.

Can the memory be upgraded? 2MB is far too less! Since you guys say T610 is by Sony and vice versa, how's T630? Made by which?

Without Sony, do you think that ericsson could be anywhere near where it is?...
The T68i was 100% by Ericsson in Europe.. The T610 was by Sony Erope... the K700 is by Sony Japan.. that's why it's so much better than the T610.... ericsson thinks small... sony thinks big.. but ericsson has the hardware and all... just not good marketting people...

Ive only read the first and last page of this thread. To clear it to people (sorry if this has already mentioned) the big problems of the T610 have been resolved with the new model (except the memory). There is also a My Friends function now on it which is a nice new technology (search google for more). The big problems with the T610 are that in bright light the display cannot be seen, display refresh rate is slow and finger prints appear easily on the case. The new model solves all of these with the new case and new type of display. Unfortunalty they have copied the nokia 100 series (2100,3100) which, rearly, is cheeply made rubbish. Also, another thing i read, this phone will be Tri-Band. And way before the T610? I doubt that very much unless you can see the future as SE didnt care about LCD back then.

use to repect sonyericsson, but its adapted the nokia mentality... similar similar design and still charge through the nose.. UNHAPPY

S/E cell phones suck because of the Ericsson part. Japan based Sony rocks. Ericsson makes cheap cell phones - they should breakup as I like Sony products just not S/E cell phones.

monalika, you already asked a lot of these terms. So I will explane it to you and all the other persons who don't know it. USB port: kind of connection that you can make with your computer when you use a cable. MPEG player: music player. 3D audio: stereo radio, good sound effect. MP3 ringtones: music tones that you can also find on your pc, Kazaa,... If I would be you, I should wait with bying a phone untill the 3G comes on the market. This is a network where you can send video's and you can see eatchother when you are calling. In a few months, the price of those phones will going down. Or if you can't wait, maybe the Siemens S 65 (look on this site) and the Samsung E715
