I bought it and first let me say that the design is simply amazing. It's one of the rare phones that actually look better in person than on pictures. Also the battery life is great, 6-7 days with heavy texting/emailing and about 30-40 min calls every day.
Now for the problems. If you're looking at this phone (and you are), chances are you're interested in typing fast. Can you do it with this phone? Well, not so much. I've discovered that when you attempt to type very fast, you will often times find yourself in a situation where you will press one key and half a second later another one. When you do this, Sony Ericsson txt will not type either. So you will have to wait between pressing the keys which practically makes it impossible to type fast on this phone. It might work for you, but be sure to try it out before you buy it.
Also, sometimes it won't connect to the internet for no reason whatsoever. I know this could be due to my network (T-Mobile ftw), but my old SE W880 never had these problems.
And also the Email client is pretty much stupid. The settings for it are very limited and for some reason it always tries to download your ENTIRE inbox/outbox which is a problem if you have a gmail account 2 GB big. I tried everything, marking the messages as "Read", downloading the messages in Outlook, disabling POP/IMAP etc, but the email client just keeps on trying to download the entire box. This pretty much makes the email client unusable for recieving emails. There is also a Java based Gmail application that comes with the phone, but that's way to slow and awkward to be usefull.
It however is a pretty good-looking phone with great battery life and great potential and I reckon a small firmware upgrade could solve all of its issues. The problem is I haven't been able to find an official one. There's someone in the comments who gave a link for a free flashing/updating, but I'm not sure if it's legit. Anyone tried this?

All problems with this model are fixed with new firmware version R5AA025. You can download it from www.wotanserver.com

Anonymous, 12 Nov 2011just want to know if you have experience any minor or major... morehi..i think now i face one very minor problem where the clock displayed at the main interface sometimes it doesn't updated..so i have to off the phone and switch it on back.. :) haha..i really love music quality..i think u should try it first before u buy it at their store..:D

se txt is a good basic phone.. its cheap..good camera, sound and nice qwerty keypad:D it is worth for someone like me which not need more that extra application.. if u r someone who is really love surfing internet..this not gonna be a good phone because it don't have 3G..and u have to wait for somebody to made themes for this phone..overall..it is really nice phone..:D

hu, 08 Nov 2011@andi: cn u pls explain a bit on this - "sync email co... morei always keep phone contacts synced with my gmail account. This phone doesn't support that feature, no synchronization. i tried to sync it via my pc with SE PC Companion, it didn't work.
