hey I've got few questions for you guys
1. About the shortcuts right on top of the homescreen, can we choose anything to put on or is it fixed to put only those few givens options like twitter . what if I wanted to put facebook as shortcut but the options given have no facebook ?
2.how do we use the threaded view messaging function as said is available in this phone ? is it the conversation option in the messaging option ? or is there a method to activate the threaded view messaging?

how did u compare the se vivaz(also pro)
with 5800...sorry but you don't know anything about se.

Disadvantages
1. runs on symbian
2. randomly goes sluggish
3. listening to music out the speaker is poor quality
4. app store is not good at all nothing to download apart from themes
5. wont let you use the camera 50% of the time. says too many applications running when none are running at all
6. not the best 8 mega pixel ive seen, samsung i8510 takes better pictures by far.

yup vivaz is a powerhouse...but an overkill...750mhz of processor without software support is like having a race car without a race track. as of the moment there is not enough software that would require 750 mhz of cpu. its fast yup but its no cost effective.. it runs on symbian s60 which i beleive is the pioneer of smartphones. its not a disadvantage if its on a symbian rather than an android. i tell you symbian has been in this world for quite sometime now and android is still in its ealry days...android will dominate symbian...but not now!...its not right to compare vivaz with 5800 its a mismatch..try n97 vs vivaz..there thats a macth because both are in the same price category. overall...
CPu Vivaz clearly wins in this round with 750 mhz of cpu...extra muscles anyone?
Cam vivaz again wins this round. although its cam his lapses such as cover, good lens and flash. it compansates with a hd recording with autofocus a revolutionary piece of idea here. 8mp...common great but needs improvement
Connectivity N97 wins this competetion. with faster connectivity compared to vivaz n97 has the higher ground on this part
GUI/ui n97 wins this competition because of its qwerty keypad. responsiveness is the same, gui is almost the same its the qwerty keypad that made the difference
OS both runs on the same software s60v5 a definite tie here...an immovable object meets an unstoppable force...
Applications n97 wins by a small fraction...why? n-gage capabilities of course
Design viavaz wins...why? innovative compact and user centered. example of this is teh placement of the camera. wondered why its in the center??
Lifespan vivaz wins..the reason for this is that the more moving parts that you have on a device the more weak point you have....vivaz...no moving parts...
Music/sound n97 wins this part...there are issue with vivaz sound by the time of writing but in the future maybe a firmware fiz can solve the problem.
Personalization n97 will win this part.on so thus vivaz...tie here
and the winner? overall...vivaz is a well rounded cellphone compared to the n97 which is more focused on connectivity. again vivaz has more potential..vivaz wins if your into photography otherwise n97 wins...

Go and update your Vivaz to the latest firmware! download Sony Ericcson Update Service from sony ericcson website and install it and follow instruction. Good luck! It improves Vivaz A LOT!
