this phone looks and fell great. would have bought it if not for the small font and the lack of secondary camera for video calling.it's more expensive than the new samsung wave which have bigger and better screen and more features.

yo peeps! great phone yaw.
but i am currently looking for an app which is TO-DIE-FOR APP!!!
please help me looking for these :
1- SHAKE SMS - it allows you to reply sms very very fast. when you lock the screan and an sms arrived, you don't hv to unlock the screen as you can reply it straight away.
2- AUTO SMS - allows an automatic sms send to your caller when you didn't get to catch up their calls, theorically when there's a missed called, an sms will be sent to that caller.
anyone already have these apps? tell me where to get it! I already found it but whenever i tried to install in my vivaz, it shows an error saying 'CERTICICATE ERROR'

Hi, was just wondering if this phone lags or anything like that, and if the storage for text messages is unlimited, like the Vivaz Pro.
Considering between this phone or Vivaz Pro; anyone knows any differences between the two besides the Vivaz Pro having a 5.1 mp camera and slide out QWERTY keypad?

I have been using this phone for exactly one month now, it is the only touch phone which i could say is EXCELLENT. Camera is by 100% EXCELLENT, brilliant HD recording, a lot of APPLICATIONS for it as its on symbian s60v5.
Really recommend it people who are looking for a SUPERB camera phone, plus apps and battery life.
Really love it, i had nokia N97 and 5800 touch before....This is cheaper than N97 and way better.
Vivaz = 720 Mhz processor.....N97 = 434 Mhz
Vivaz = HD camera............N97 = 5 MP Camera

I even had video's taken on some pub and it's dark but whatever my eyes can see, Vivaz records it perfectly. By the way, for your information, I have the latest software, I think it was dated April 2010...

THe phone is very good and the battery is long life actually I bought the phone and its camera is unbelievable its very clear and the video is very very good so dont believe any one who said that the phone will have many problems its work very well because I use it its beast , monster .......

The quality of the materials are very cheap. bad plastic.
Battery life is very bad.
The touchscreen response must be a joke. Sometimes you must hit the screen, especially on the cam mode.
Great toy, but not for mobile with hd videos.

I was using P1i for more than two years and now I change to Vivaz. First of all I would thank Sony for this nice portable model but next I’m shocked to find a company like Sony has done such ditto copy of Nokia’s handset 5800. The software menu’s everything of Vivaz is just a duplication of 5800. Though it has a better hardware and camera but the OS and working platform everything feels so cheap. Functionality also it seems not at all planned after you use Sony’s good old model P1i which was so well fabricated.
Some serious flaws: You won’t find a battery level % indicator anywhere
The SMS screen with numbers can’t generate POP up window to directly call the numbers inside the SMS
There is one single small connection socket for USB, Charging, Data transfer everything all together and I wonder how long it will last. (Didn’t expect such cheap planning from Sony)
The PDF reader is coming with a license of 15 days only, when the older P1i was with a free unlimited license.
Touch Screen response is far below the expectation when you are upgrading to a model with three times faster processor
Only good part is the camera. People who want a reliable set can go for it but don’t expect much improvement if you have used previous Sony models. I am a Sony Ericson fan but really this model has not fulfilled my expectations.

- video: it's a joke. The quality of image is ok but check the videos on ytube there is no videos without frame drops!!!
- touchscreen response worst ever , especially on video mode (almost need to hit the screen)
- backside lid very bad designed, cheap quality and i think you can open and close it maybe 20 times before break it.
- the touch response of the screen is really very bad

Excellent phone! Great pictures, great videos. Superb menu, looks, performance and battery. Using it for two weeks now, no problem at all! I strongly recommend it for young folks who want to have entertainment at their hands! Well done SE!

hi! i bought vivaz last month. the phone was working well for 1st hour. Then, the phone was started making problems. i can't connected to my home network. No access to network was displayed when i tried to set default network access manually. So, i claimed the warranty.
Next 2 week, i received back the phone. the phone working well at the current moment. After a few hours, the phone was making the same problem. i can't call or even sms. no network access is displayed till now. Just need some info, what are the causes and how to fix it. i'm sick to sent the phone back for manufactory repair service and now thinking to trade the phone with other model.
