i have had the vivaz for 2 months now and i am very happy with the phone, but im having a problem with it. The phone switches off by it self every now and again. Has this happened to anybody else?

out of all the vivaz's sold in store around 75% of them needed exchanged within 28 days for various reasons mainly software but different ones everytimeish

nick, 11 Jun 2010my htc hd2 is drop and drag too, the phone does all the wor... moreOnce you have used capacitive you wont go back. Well maybe you would. I had to send a text on an iphone this weekend and a few words took a couple of minutes as Im so used to my phone, and the iphone I used screen had problems, the owner mentioned that the screen appears to be 'wearing out' Some sections of the screen dont work on the 1st tap and rather a few touhes to get a response.Not sure whats going on there.
Im sure the iphone is easy to get data on and off once you have got used to the software and how it works and there is a pc close by with Itunes. It is just irritating that its the equivalent of going to the toilet but beforehand you have to change into different clothes. It is because apple will never allow me to plug into a Windows PC and just explore the device as it were a memory stick. Example being at a friends house taking photos or vids on the iphone and they want a copy...Oh but they dont have an iphone and therefore no itunes. So they cant give them to you on the spot.

Smartphones, especially touchscreen phones, use a lot of data and the battery life is never going to be as great as a "dumb"phone. I have a BB, which are supposed to have great battery life, and under heavy usage I get about 1-2 days which to me is great. If you get that much out of a smartphone with a touchscreen then I must say it's battery life is okay. I'm thinking of getting this or the X10.

does anyone know if the twitter app automatically come with the phone?
if so, is it possible to replace the twitter app with something else? or delete it completely?

hi i love the vivaz phone, not had it all that long, 1 slight problem i find with the phone the battery dosent seem to last as long as it should, when iv charged it up it lasts about a day and a half if that surley it should last up to 3-5 days even longer??????????????????????

nice and handy. keeps heated when at net.protective shield has bubbles comming out within 2 months. sometimes it gets hanged.Im really afraid how its going to handle the claimed capacity and I cant imagine how it will support 16 gb expandable memory.
Hats off for its design and looks, and Camera.

I got mine yesterday it is really amazing... Except the ear piece clarity and the call sound alert level i find everything so darn amazing.. this is the b best phone which offers HD in such a compact device and its clarity is beyond amazing... Its touch response is also amazing :) infinite like to the phone

Vivaz is a great phone. I'm currently using it.... its quite good, quite user friendly. The pic is clear. The sound is good. I tried using the sound recording and find it very clear. I'm satisfy with it.

Panda, 11 Jun 2010An responsive screen, then you are used to a capacitive scr... moremy htc hd2 is drop and drag too, the phone does all the work finding the files, though i dont think you can argue that putting content on the iphone is hard, it couldnt be easier, that said, i still dislike the iphone.
once you go capacitive you'll never go back. all screens like adjustment, but i'd hate to have to carry around a hammer just so the screen can detect my inputs

I think the sound is good enough for me. I don't have it but I will buy it and i have see it on review that the sound is good for me. Someone that say the sound is bad maybe their ear is bad because of use to much earphone/headphone.

i read a review abut vivaz saying the pathetic condition of sound clarity and only the snap quality is good and etc so how do i upgrade the sound quality to match se w995 cause it says 995 is the best in the music segment and not good in camera stuff can anyone help me in understanding wt to buy

nick, 10 Jun 2010usually the people who criticise a phone are the ones that ... moreAn responsive screen, then you are used to a capacitive screen. I have used my girlfriends Iphone and its way too sensitive for me and she says the vivaz is unresponsive. Everyone to themselves.
The Iphone is great as so much can be done with it if you know how. I know so many people who use it only for calling texting and internet only. Anything simply as putting music or videos onto the Iphone my girlfreind still hasnt got a clue. I have had a few gos but cant be arsed to mess around for so long.
With the Vivaz its just plug in to PC, click and drag.
Easy as pie.Got a few seasons of Family Guy, some other movies and music for travelling to work. Nixed a few programmes such as Ovi maps from Nokia and a few others.
The reason why I cant stand the Iphone is the whole I tunes thing,syncing and so on. We all have digital cameras,mp3 players and so on where we can copy and paste, a simple click and drag.

Update: crashes seem to be gone after updating to latest firmware. Its also much snappier now.
