Same screen size and resolution and OS as Nokia 5800, so is it possible that Nokia Maps Navigation, runs on this Vivaz?
Couse I have now it for free on my 5800 and i would like to use it in my next phone Vivaz.
Anyone knows? have u tried GPS lucky owners?

Postal service mis-sorted my delivery, and it seems I have to wait until Monday. I do feel a bit miserable. :)
Other than sharing my pain, I think I have to say I think it seems to be a phone with both good specs and a nice, clean design at a decent price. Also interested in seeing what happens on the OS and app front now that Symbian is going open source (even if I understand this edition only is half-open).

I enjoy listening to music via the speakers and I will be grateful if anyone with the handset could tell me how loud and the quality of the phone speaker is on this model? I currently have a W995 which has brilliant speakers and it makes me hesitant to switch this phone. Thanks.

I work at carphone and have had a play with this handset today. V impressed. The video and camera are excellent. Best video capture I've seen on a mobile phone.

I tried this phone today, and here are my personal take:
The user interface experienced that i have is not that bad, it's not a slow device eventhough it is a resistive touchscreen, it has some lags here and there, i just wish that it comes with a capacitive touchscreen i guess S60 does not support capacitive touchscreen yet (correct me if im wrong). the formfactor is good, very pocketable size. I just wonder if there are some applications installed if it will affect the speed of the device.
I tried the black model but personally i dont like the materials being used, its kinda like the nokia 5800, but a little better. the black coating, i dont like, just like the X2.
and lastly, Symbian OS is not that bad, but SE should have selected another OS, personally i dont like S60 (i hope there will be an upgrade), the build quality is good, very light weight, the coated finish is not that nice, very nice spec, except for the OS...

We've had our delivery of Vivaz this morning, have to say that first impressions of the phone is pretty good, sleek and attractive. Once I switched the handset on and found what my network (Vodafone) had done to it, I was horrified - they had changed the UI for their own Vodafone UI and it is horrendous. Just a heads up to all Vodafone UK users who are thinking of taking the Vivaz to go and play with one and make sure you like the front page UI.

Have had the phone for a week. Have not used it extensively but can confirm the screen looks nice and works well. WiFi and email setup was easy. Pictures and videos are a HUGE improvement over my W890. Actually I guess videos are at least as good as the VGA movies from my Nikon S500 compact camera (1½ years old) when shown on my 30 inch screen. Dedicated buttons for video and camera are quite handy.
As expected and hoped it is significantly smaller than an iPhone and very pocketable in a pair of jeans.
Performance is good.
Have yet to do much browsing or gps navigation.
Would like more settings/control over how messages are displayed.

my friend has omnia hd and it is a good phone but samsung dont bring her a good software update
HTC&&NOKIA&SE have better support sevice than samsung
if samsung wont upgrade theire suppot service then they will loose their marketshare in 2010 like SE in 2008&2009

Farid, 11 Mar 2010Samsung had better spec on i8910 more than a year ago. why ... moreSamsung may come with the latest in specs n whatever, no 1 will deny that,but when it comes to delivering quality and support they seem to fail in this aspect.Imagine som1 had to write a whole lengthy article on one of their phones pointing out all the flaws just to get noticed,so that the manufacture would see the errors and give the device the updates it needed for the device to function properly,which should not be."Why should that be?", I ask.No one should have to go through those lengths to obtain some simple updates to make the user satisfied and happy.Now why should I leave Sony or Nokia to see all that trouble? I hope they do a lot better with their new OS and new phones as far as quality and support are concerened.No phone is going to be 100% perfect thats why to each his own, SUPPORT IS NEEDED.
