This is probably the most serious competition to any Nokia phone by Sony Ericsson. X6 has a very worthy rival. Better camera with video recording, more compact, faster processor, good looks. What is missing is .avi playback. But Nokia has capacitive screen. Its just cool. X6 is also a looker in its own right. Plus X6 will come with that unrivaled lifetime turn by turn voice guided navigation license bundled along with it and that too completely free. Also X6 will be more affordable, value for money. I think X6 still would be a better buy. This is only for Sony Ericsson fanboys.

SE Vivaz looks amazing and very satisfying. The design is unique and great. Hopefully this phone will not be as buggy as Satio and Xperia X1 on the software. The fact that it can play Xvid videos as well as other formats and that is has a pretty big screen is very convincing.The camera has also a high megapixel and will probably take great pictures. Overall this looks like the perfect phone for the moment.

despite what anyone may or may not think about SE, based on what i'm seeing coming out of MWC, i think SE has some of the best phones coming.
what i especially like is how more and more, they are releasing 3G USA phones, not just quad band.
i have a quad band only phone from samsung right now (B5702), real disappointment indoors. weak to no service.
i may sacrifice dual sim functionality for great coverage.
and it looks like i may even be turning away from my long time phone company samsung, too bad.

SE change the OS to Android 2.1 and change the touchscreen to a capacitive instead of a resistive.
If this had Satio's 12.1MP camera, Android 2.1 & a capacitive touchscreen is would buy this hands down!

I DO hope so, too.
If they do, I will surely buy either the vivaz for everyday use or the x10/x10 mini . If not, I will stick to my beautiful red w995 and my iphone at home.

Sony should continue focusing on those features as well because when I see Sony, I see quality. They have the best sound chip out there but it seems they missed something (look at the Satio for example - a high-end phone but no sound EQ there!)
I just hope they will implement these important Sony geniune features (Clear Audio, Clear Stereo, Equalizer) in their final version of these high-end phones.

What I really cannot understand is: They have been achieveing the best walkman sound and the Clear Sudio and Clear Bass lately as their"flagship" for us music listeneres. SE has been the best for that use always.
And now???
This Vivaz looks beautiful-despite the resisitivie screen--the X10 looks terrific as a multimedia phone..but NO Equalizers, NO clear audio, no Clear bass???????
Prices in preorder in Germany go from 358e (Vivaz) to 565e (X10)
Will there be a MUSIC version of this babies?
I honestly see this a s a step behind in SE.
SE and their mobiles have always been my favourite.I do want to get a mini X10, or X10 or Vivaz but I do not want to regret it

Terrific phone, but review says ringtones volume very soft. What is the point of a 600 $ phone if you cannot hear it ringing in your pocket ? I love LOUD phones so won't get this one
