Hi,
I'm planning to buy Sony Ericsson phone. But first, may I have your opinion on which phone is better, SE Xperia X2 or SE Vivaz? Your response will be highly appreciated!

I own a Sony Ericsson vivaz pro u8i and lately I am having problems with it.
When I plugin the phone to charge it shows a red light and no matter how many hours I charge it the same thing happens.
and when I try to switch on the phone it doesnt start.

well i am using a Vivaz U5i Ruby... its been a month since, and i have found it very interesting.. video & photo quality is best of best.. also i dont have any problems with the phone so far.. its a cool & very elegant phone indeed.. AM LOVING IT ... thanks to the person who sold it... had 3free gifts along with it too.. price is cool & features are upto mark as well..

Ive had the Vivaz since july last year. Some of the features are good and some of them are bad.
The Good: touch sensitivity, great picture taker, strong led flash, good media gallery , great audio quality and fast internet, great call and reception quality and and good battery life (lasts about 2.5 days using it nonstop) the bad: sometimes restarts automatically, freezes occasionally, not good build quality (had it repaired 2 times since i bought it) hd video stalls at the start of filming and also lags about 2 minutes into a video, music player has split second freezes when listening to music.

best phone i ever use- very good price , perfect camera except led flash, very good processor,3d graphics, all what you need. buy it and you will never regret.

The videos are smooth and clear even with 12fps. Maybe it's the problem with the software? ^^ The videos taken with the phone can be played. I downloaded mp4 videos from youtube with 720p resolution but can't be played on my Vivaz. Is it becoz they are 30fps? Thanks so much. ^^

I've been using this phone ever since it was released in market and remarkably i enjoy it a lot.My friends amazed about the camera shots and image capture of Vivaz. I never regret when i purchased this phone.

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2011i just have my vivas a week ago but the i doubt with my bat... moreit's been only a week, rite? give it a couple more days, cuz at first, the more u discharge and charge the battery, it will still be reaching its full capacity. neway, it's hard to believe that it wont last a day without using it. if that's so, then the battery may be defective. also, u shud try saving power by reducing the display brightness and turning off auto-wifi detection. my vivaz goes 3 days easily after a full charge.

the standby time shown in the battery specifications shows 430 hours for 2g and 440 hours for 3g. wouldn't 3g use up more of the battery charge and hence have a shorter standby time, just like the 2g talk time vs 3g talk time? just curious. thanks.

i've had the vivaz for about 2 months now, and cant believe how amazing it is. it's really user friendly n altogether useful. seems to hav evrything u'll need, n then some. only thing i can think of that it doesnt hav is infrared, lol. n i just migrated from the w810i to the vivaz. i thot battery life wud be a problem, but its lasting just as long as the w810 did, if not longer. i definitely recommend this phone.

I bought it pri... morehey, dont kno how u kno it reaches 12 fps, but for me, the playback seems smooth. as for the mp4 720p playback, it is supposed to work flawlessly, especially if the video was taken using the same phone. if the video is from another device, it is probably an encoding problem with the video itself n not a fault with the phone.

mini, 17 Feb 2011I purchased this phone a month ago, the reception was terri... morei havnt experienced any problems like urs, so perhaps ur new one is defective as well or the reception in ur area isnt good. u cud try another retailer. even my first was a used one (retailer called eureka). i had to get it replaced.

Anonymous, 17 Feb 2011i just have my vivas a week ago but the i doubt with my bat... morei'm sorry, but i'll hav to disagree with u. i get at least 3 days of battery life with my vivaz, while using all of its apps. give it a few days. let the battery get used a bit. it's cycles will increase. may i suggest decrasing the brightness n turning off automatic wifi search?
