i tested my battery. i fully charged it (took 2 hours) yesterday morning. Until now it has 92% (as indicated by the spb app) charge. I just used it for texting with minimal backlight. No phone calls, no games. I wonder why some vivaz users here have a very short battery life. i think you should bring it to your nearest sonyericsson service centers. Might be a defective battery.

Worst Ericsson ever!I had this phone for 6 weeks and the faults are 1)internet opens up 2 tabs of each,2)message icon flashes on screen but cannot open the messages,3)caller can hear me, but I cannot hear caller.

The difference between resistive and capacitive touchscreen is that on the resistive it respons to any touch(finger, stylus etc) and the capacitive responds only to flesh because it charger an electrical charge in your finger when you touch it. Capacitive is more sensitive and doesn't require any push at all, you just touch it. BTW I LOVE MY VIVAZ! Greetings from Romania!

Resistive works with pressure, that's why you can use the stylus.

Never ever buy this phone in your lifetime:
1. Poor sound quality
2. Freezing
3. Poor battery perfomance (has to be recharged everyday)
4. Only lasted 5 months thereafter the phone did not respond to the charger.
1st time in my lifetime a phone does this to me. Sony ericsson is a write off according to me!

[deleted post]hi Fleur_Dea!x8 is way cheaper than vivaz. x8 has 3" capacitive screen while vivaz has 3.2" resistive screen. x8 runs android donut but you can update the software later at sonyericsson site while vivaz runs symbian s60 5th edition. Just check both reviews here at gsmarena for comparison. Visit youtube too for the demos of this two se phones so you can decide which one you will get. Hope this will help :)

m really frustrated..!!
my battery sucks..!!hardly lasts for 10 -12 hours even on standby or minimal use...
i updated the software...no use...!!

I forgot to tell that my sony ericsson vivaz comes with a spb mobile shell. So you can view all your applications in a 3D carousel view. Really amazing. All in one screen!I use this instead of the standard menu view of my vivaz.

Just bought this phone yesterday and im so loving it. Its a symbian phone and its really zippy than my older 5800. Please guys stop saying that this is an ugly phone. it is really very stylish. dont judge it just by looking at its pictures in the internet. See it in person. The only problem that i encountered is that it doesnt have a built-in software updater and the battery life is a little pain. But over all it is a great phone.
