I bought SE Vivaz pink here in the Philippines, I was just wondering, when i opened the box, the stylus was in silver???
Why was that so??? HELP!!!

few things I had in mind that needed you guys help
there's one question I've asked last time and it's still unanswered, maybe some forgot about it so I'll repost it
is there any method to set the phone to view text messages in conversation mode automatically? what I meant there is not by going into conversation option in the message tab and stay in there to continue using the conversation mode to reply. Is there anyway like when there's a new incoming message and I opened it, it will be in the conversation mode already?
anyone that knows about it please help out, without this kind of function I've felt the conversation mode isn't anymore easing the users
and another thing is the apps
it's difficult finding symbian apps nowadays. Signed or unsigned wasn't the problem at all, it's whether the site can be trusted or not and the working links in those sites. I've search quite a few sites like mobilemanias and aioboards but those site I'm not sure whether they can be trusted or not. And also, the links they give aren't in the form of sis file but in php file. I'm not sure if it works when we transfer them into the phone. So if anyone has ANY idea, any at all of where to downloads stuff especially apps for this phone, do share with all of us here.
this is a smartphone, apps are the elements that make it smart.
help out please and thank you

to be honest, this phone sucks, it broke in like 3 weeks, and there's nothing they can do about it :(

Hi dear friends...
I am planning to buy a new mobile.. currently i am using Sony Ericsson K770i... Iam bored abt tat phone ... Now i have an opinion to go with Sony Ericsson Vivaz..
Plz give me a suggesstion... whether vivaz is the best choice or suggest anyone phone which is having more than 8 MP camera...

i think this is the worse phone ever to be produced by Sony. I only have my phone for three months and im wanting to change already. It feels like a Nokia with the Sony name on it. Very limited, borring everything that you want you are directed to the internet.
the only good thing about this phone is the camera, takes awsome pics...but that's about it! im really dissapointed. now im stuck with this phone for the next two years! URG!

i have also suffered same problem . the connecting pin is separated from the motherboard. the company is not repairing and says the motherboard has to be changed which is almost the price of a new phone which is silly.
i want to know if any one has same problem what has been done?????
i think it has separated because of only poor quality and nothing else but the company says it your fault!!!
i dont recommend this phone to any one

yes I think you can also get your apps signed from the site. I've only used odpa to get the cert. and key. to use them in the signer. I never tried online signing before but I've guess you've got to wait for apps to get signed rather than self signing where you can get apps signed immediately (in odpa, to get the cert. and key. you'll need 24 hours for them to be ready) so I ASSUME (assume only) maybe that signing apps through the site takes time too. We could try online signing some other days to see what's the result.
how to use the signer

here's the manual wording
*download the signer from the link (zipped file)
*open the extsis.exe (a new window pops up)
*from 'file' tab click "open file"
*choose your apps (sis file only, if your apps are in the form of zipped file, kindly open the file and extract the sis file out)
*go to 'tools' tab and click "sign package" (another new window pops up)
*click the 'key pairs'tab where you will be needed to put in your cert. and key.
(P.S. when you're downloading the cert. and key from the odpa site, both will be downloaded in the name of "index php" unless you changed them, so make sure you know which is your cert. and key. and also when you're browsing for your cert. and key from there, make sure you're browsing in all files category and not cert or key files category)
*at the same tab you need to give a profile name(anything will do, no effects just naming), the click "add profile". A new profile will be made
*then go to the "package" tab at "key pairs" at your 'signing profiles' there find for the new profile you've just made and click add signature
*when the apps is signed you can exit the current window and save the modified sis file at the window before that.
*you can now transfer the modified sis file into your phone and install it there
and we're done =)

This was the worst phone I've ever seen!! Bad Speakers, Ridiculous music player as it keeps playing prvious song when i goo to the next and mix them and a non-compatible symbian OS as it keeps on hanging!
I think that you should only have it as a cheap cam only!

I have used X-6 16GB and now using Vivaz since last 02 months. It is not possible to compare both. X-6 is a great phone with capacitive touchscreen, excellent battery life and superb telephony. In fact, Nokia is master of telephonic quality. Whereas, Vivaz has its own plus points i.e good 8MP camera, HD video, very light weight and reasonable price. Other functions of Vivaz are also very nice. Telephony and Battery life of Vivaz are also good. Due to symbian software, Nokia users will have less problems while using Vivaz.
