Is connection using infrared slow? I've tried transferring file +- 1MB using infrared and it sucks, takes a very long time.. Any idea?

This must be the only phone that has external memory, but no BlueTooth.

For Sheena...
All phones from all brands are capable of running without their battery inserted...
But since that you have started your W200i for the first time without a battery, I am not sure what could have gone wrong (you said that the screen flickered on/off)...
As long as your phone started the SETUP WIZARD when you turned it on (and the clock was 00:00 when you first started), then everything should be normal...
Don't worry... Your new W200 is not damaged in anyway if it is operating as normal (and as long as it has all the functions stated in the instructions)
Other than that, W200i is a nice phone, perfect for people who want everything (but for those on a budget) Well done SE~~!

Hey I just bought one of these a few hrs ago - all in all it's a pretty cute phone. Anyway when I was setting it up, I accidentally skipped the battery insertion step and started charging the phone. Only a few seconds passed and the screen flickered on and off a bit before I realised the battery wasn't in and then turned off the charger. The phone seems to be working fine despite my silly mistake but I'm just writing to ask if what I did might have damaged it in some way? This was probably a dumb question but feel free to e-mail your response to me anyway.

Hey guys! this phone is simply awesome! its the best music phone ever made..mp3 on speaker is very very good!..no..just simply excellent! The Radio can be used in speaker mode & can save up to 10 channels..there's also a jack to insert ur own 3.5mm earphones. The equalizer & megabass function is very impressive !! i love this phone! best music phone in the world

just bought this phone 2 hours ago..surprised to say that this phone has a real decent Mp3 player.Well here's what I have to say about this baby:
Goodness: -Fantastic Mp3 quality
-Small & extremely lightweight
-Superb mp3 quality with headphones! SIMPLY AMAZING!
Badness: -Camera totally sucks!
-Video as well..but it's really smooth
-screen is..just slightly better than T610/T630
My final words: This is an amazing move by Sony Ericsson for making an MP3 player into a cellphone ! It's just like an Ipod that makes calls! Well done SE!

The charger and hands free plug are very flimsy and I am concerned that one day the lugs will snap off. A very amateurish and nasty, cheap piece of equipment

Am sorry I actually bought this particular phone. Why? I'll tell you why. Fisrtly, the toggle butoon in the middle is a pain to navigate, using the calendar and having to scroll through the days of the week endlessly is a nuisance, the lack of pictures to attach to a message suck.

Its just a great phone come ipode.It can be used as video ipode if you get the latest releas of xilsoft 3gp converter which has an option of setting the screen size audio bit rate resulting in huge video and audio clarity which makes you more adictive to the phone...
Battery life is great i have a small prob battery charges till 90-95% and other 5% keeps charging,battery is not fully charging.Can i get an openion to overcome it other wise its a mind blowing little wonder...
