I don't recommend anyone to buy w302. Based on my recent experience, it has many problems despite its look. Theme, modem, the loudness of its speaker, he durability of its battery, quality of photo and video have made me so disappointed. Not to mention, with its technical support.

I am going to buy this fone. All of U plz. tell me whether to buy this fone or not (Sony W302)? Very first thing , i want to know about the sound quality it delivers in the handsfree ,no doubt the handsfree provided with this fone are the best one(BASS reflex type). Plz. tell me ,whether the sound in the handsfree is that much good or not ? Is it better then Sony W700i or the sound quality is just below it? Another thing ,I want to know ,whether the keypad of this fone is tat much flexible or not? So as to have a gud speed over typing. Also about the camera ,well it doesnt comes with the feature of AUTOFOCUS ,but still ,is it worth enough to take some pics in daylight or not? And overall plz. rate this fone ,whether to purchase this fone or not ? If this fone is just a BIGGGG NO to go for , then kindly suggest me a better option to this fone ,either in SONY or NOKIA , as in for SONY ,it shud b a WALKMAN fone ,or in NOKIA ,it shud be a Xpress music. My max. budget is 8k...so plz. suggest me the best one. Thanx all...

Dnt bye tis model.. sound quality is very very poor, foolish model in the world.. cant able to install themes. Not yet any software updations.. Dont bye this beter go to Nokia.. or Korean Mobiles...

people, a phone isnt for the music and camera thats what digi cameras nd mp3's r for! all u want in a phone is if its reliable and long lasting, ive had bout 6 sony's in last 3 yrs nd not one was reliable enuf for me, i bought this tday and i hpe it is and lasts me yrs! cuz im sick of buying phones every month!

here's my take on the matter, if you've been an se user for a long time, you might be disappointed with the w302. also, there are cheaper (with the same features) alternatives.
however, if you're just looking for phone that is pretty, slim and light and with average features, you won't be disappointed.
my gripes:
- ringtones/sms tones sound very soft, especially if you install mp3s. (if played they sound okay, but use them as tones, they sound too soft;
- the sms tone is ascending with no option to change(very irritating actually);
- you cannot assign a different message alert tone for each entry in your phone book (a feature that is present even in old se phones); and
- sound using the headphones provided is average, music souns better on my psp, considering that i'm using the cheapest sony headsent on it; and
- battery life is so-so, around 2 days with moderate usage.

I already use this phone for the6months , and never having problems for this phone, very recomended and affordable phone . Design so slim but sound not so good for walkman phone.

Anonymous, 15 May 2009 how can i transfer themes on my SE W302SE mobile phones, are closest to computers, imagine ur phone just as your flashDrive does, that s how u shud save files and installers. its a good phone, only if has a greater memory! and this doesn't seem to hve a good headset...
