it gives good high sound output ONLY when we have the songs in .m4a format.But this mobile able to give more sound output only when we go 4 this format.If we use MP3,it gives low o/p.This is product specification.None of the dealer will not informed when we buy also he may also dont know about this.
So convert the songs from .mp3 to m4a.u will get ROCKING sound output...

An excellent phone. A must buy for someone who is looking something different in Sony Ericsson sets. Minor -ves but then no phone is perfect. Good value for ur money.

Hi im using this mobile for past 1 week...
problems faced...
1.font size is really bigger n gives an irritating luk
2.Sound Output is really bad ...But with head phones its extreally gud...
3.network coverage is really poor..need to restart de phone in case network goes off..if v go for manual search its not capable to reproduce de network...
4.Basic shortcut keys given seperately has no option to change as per our use.
5.Camera quality s gud but no option to zoom in taken pictures...
6.Sound clarity on cals is gud
7.no option for recording while in cal...
8.only in built themes can be used..
9.Battery back is low..if used radio r walkman player battery gets stil lower.
10.In applications unable to reset the world clock timing as per country
11.IN camera album if v select a picture in options thr is a zoom option which bring s out a blured image.
also thr is no frames option
12.Finally,the new software has totally ruined our dreams about sony ericsson n has given out a big scrap...

Dont buy this phone because it doesnt supports other themes,no trackID,display of video ringtone is too small ,no flash available ,ringtone sound is too low when compared to other model ,its operation is totally different from other sony ericsson mobiles
And it shows unnecessary procedure while operating this phone .
Its totally waste of money so dont buy this mobile

You can't expect this phone to deliver like a conventional SE phone, reason - this phone is built by Sagem. All newer entry level phones will be done by Sagem for SE.

I have to agree. This phone is very disappointing. Voice clarity is very bad, sounds like your speaking to someone in a room full of noise. buttons on the key pad is tiny, can only store 1 number per contact, can not edit phone numbers unless you save them first and the list goes on..

And ALL OF YOU. This phone is not bad as you say. The words you speak dont even make sense. I have absolutely NO problems wit dis phone and if you dont agree wit me then thats your personal biased opinion. Why dont you go buy Nokia then???

Well I seem to have solved the Opera Mini problem. You have to do some things first in order to get it working. Firstly go to your internet menu. There you'll find InternetSettings. Select it and choose "Accounts". There you will see the current wap profile being used to connect to the net using your in-built browser. Select options while you are viewing the profile that you are using. Then choose "Info" Write down the name, proxy address, port number on a piece of paper. Then, while in options, select PS Data then select APN then write down the APN on the same paper. Now that you have got all the details its time you install them on your applications. Firstly select options when you are hovering your selector over opera mini but dont start it. Just select "options". Then select "settings" then select "connection" then click options then click Create New. Then Fill in the Name, Proxy, PS Data>APN. Then start Opera Mini it should be working just fine. It works fine for me. At first I thought that it didn't support Opera Mini but it does.

this real scrap from SE. total west of money! i m using dis scrap frm last 1week..dis is rael pethatic man...planning to sell dis and not to buy any SE cell in my hole life!! any one who thinking about dis set.. i gave them only one advaice.....DO NOT BUY DIS..

Do not buy this phone... really really this is the worst ever product released by Sony Ericcsson.. These are the various problems in the Mobile... Its really a crap...
PROBEMS FACED:
1)Smileys:
Smileys are not gettin displayed and to be frank i got attracted to Sony Mobiles mainly because of these attractive smileys...
2)Shortcuts:
In other Sony phones if one pressed Menu and button 5 for instance Messaging opens..And after that if one presses 2 for instance Inbox opens... But in this phone the 1st shortcut(i.e) if one presses 5 Messaging opens but the inner shortcuts are not working which makes it more difficult for easy access... Only the shortcut in the Main Menu works whereas other shortcuts doesn...
3)Groups:
For adding a contact to Group it takes a zeal of work to be done.. Please check it out...
4) Themes:
For all other sony phones the default theme file is of the extension ".thm" but the format for this phone(w302) is really unknown which forces the users to use only the inbuilt themes... This is really very sickening...
5) Network Settings:
Even though i ve received all the necessary settings for access to internet and i ve installed them, still ony the default browser supports this... I am using Opera Mini since my childhood but this phone doesn support opera mini and its giving an error message stating that "Contact ur operator for java Internet Settings".. If the settings are not properly received then why is the default browser alone supporting Internet access???
6) Sound Clarity:
The Sound Clarity is very very poor and this makes this phone not recognized as a Walkman phone... Eventhough i ve kept the volume to 8(which is the maximum) i cant hear the ringtone if i am 5 metres far too...
7)Delivery Reports:
Delivery reports is another sickening part of this phone where reports are not getting displayed as a pop up as in the traditional Sony Ericcsson Phones... In this delivery reports is gettin into Inbox and creating lots of problems where the user must delete the delivery report each and every time which is really bad...
8) Save Contacts to Memory card:
I have used w200i mobile where there is an option called save contacts to memory card... This option is present in this mobile also but the sad part is if i want to restore all my contacts from memory card i must do it one by one... It would be better if u provide a Retrive all contacts from memory card option as in the case of w200i...
9)Text Message Display Type:
The Text message delivered to inbox displays the sender name along with the 1st few characters of the message.. In all other traditional Sony Ericcsson phones we can change this display type to display the Sender name with date and time... This feature is also missing and its necessary for privacy purposes...
