to holla7..."playback failed" error only shows up if you have deleted the (music)file under the file folder, so that's why the media player cannot play it.
this is such a nice phone, for its price. it has all basic things you need like music player, a decent camera and a phone.

Hey people does anyone else have problems with the music player??? Often when I'm playing music, it stops N displays some crap message like "playback failed"! It's really begining to piss me off!! Had the phone for about 3 weeks N syds this problem, it's a very good phone for the price!! Please let me know if this is a one-off or if others are havn D same problem!!! Thanx in advance

em, 21 Aug 2008please tell me is it made of cheap plastic or mettalic body?It seems like a cheap plastic to me. The back cover is so fragile , likes gonna break when you remove the battery. Its not metal, which explains the light weight.

No, it is not possible to change the length of availible characters on the SE W350i, or any other phone. What you can do is use the phone's email client, which when I used it cost me 20p/40c per message, but this may vary depending on the carrier. This phone should have an email client.
