this phone is stylish looking and mp3 player is good don compare this with Nokia 5130 or 5800 .this mobile is good not so bad and yes not so ruf n tuf as Nokia but ok yaar use it with care.... just mp3 player and cam good i don hope this phone also should fulfill business needs like Nokia e series

Not sure whether it can work as bluetooth modem. Try to set up a serial port connection and connect...

Cannot get my W395 to connect via bluetooth to the internet not get it to connect to the suite. It seem that the bluetooth modem is not functioning. i have the same problem when connecting with the USB cable. Downloaded the update and still no luck. Tested USB cable and PC bluetooth with 2 other Sony Ericsson phones and they work. Any advice?

i purchase a sony erricssion phone W395 on Dec 16 2009 n no one believe that it is repaired once on jan4 2010 n now also second time gone for repair n sony ericssion service center people saying it is ok in net stand by time written is 480 hrs bt it will not last for 4 hours so totally spoil my money no one in service center is properly attending the customer service center is Neeru Enterprises , P-21, kfc Basemenr sec 18 noida worst service center n worst mobile dont buy any product of sony Dont but sony product plz if u have more money give it to charity not to sony

aman, 08 Aug 2009w395 much better thn 5130 xpressmusic....dnt compare dis ph... moreYou are kidding right. You are saying that W395 is better than 5130XM. On which planet did you get this crazy idea! Here is a list of things that W395 doesn't support but 5130 does,
1. Flash animations (.swf)
2. All mp4 files support (depending on the encoding settings and file size, W395 fails to recognise this format, there is a 60% chance of failure). On the other hand, nokia 5130 supports all forms of mp4 files no matter how big the file size is. I myself have played movies ranging from 300mb to 1gb in my 5130.
3. 5130 can easily handle an 8gb microsdHC card even if it is almost full (can also support 16gb cards). W395 can't even handle a 4gb card properly.
4. Screen resolution of W395 sucks(176*220) compared to nokia 5130(240*320). Watching videos, photos and browsing web is so much livelier and clearer in nokia 5130 due to higher resolution.
5. W395 Doesn't support themes. 5130 does. I have themes whose sizes are over 2mb, on my 5130.
6. Too much distortion of sound at high volumes in W395 due to uncontrolled bass. 5130 sound clarity is way better in any volume level (comparisons are made in terms of audio output, not the headphones used)
7. W395 price is almost 2000Rs more than nokia 5130.
8. The RAM of W395 is 33% less than nokia 5130. Hence W395 is slower.
9. 5130 has 3.5mm audio output jack. So you can put in any headphone or music system or home theater you like, as all of these in market has 3.5mm audio input jacks. W395 doesn't have this and hence only support the headphones from sony ericsson.
10. 5130 has dedicated music and volume control keys. Thus you can change songs as you are browsing the net or playing any java games or going through any ebooks.
Thus it is clear that nokia 5130 is the best there is in its price and not even sony ericsson can take that pride away.

Ya its true,i have a w395 & it is very slow when browsing files in the memory card.sometimes it gets hang. USELESS phone from Sony Ericsson.

If you want excellent music/sound with stereo speakers, plus cute design plus decent display, go for W395. But its UI, though new and refined, has many limitations and slow browsing of memory card.
No, you can't add thm files- it won't support. Only the 5 built-in themes are available.
