it does can play mp3. found out it cannot play certain mp4 and 3gp files. please clarify.. :)

The W395 has a great signal strength (I have it on Vodafone UK), the texting is ultra quick and I have no problems playing mp3 and aac files on it. Works fine with my bluetooth speaker. But... as ever, this, like most recent phones will give you about a day's battery life and that's about it. If you're going away overnight, take your charger. And if you're a serial texter and like to save friends' texts and jokes etc, forget it. This phone only stores 100 texts total.

i have bought this phone about a month ago
maybe 2.
the performance is good and the bass boost speakers are very good and are louder than most. I compared the sound quality to my friends Nokia 6111 and mine is slightly louder and the sound quality is much better, and stereo widening is like surround sound. unfortunately i went canoeing and my phone fell out of my pocket into the canoe and sat in a puddle of water. no problem. got out the hair-dryer a put it in the sun for a few days and it was like new, i highly recommend this mobile. please leave a comment if i have been helpful. ooh before i forget, my screen has no scratches on, but the silver piece round the edge is just as easy to scratch as any other mobile.

I was quite attracted to the W395 because Sony Ericsson advertise a sratch resistant screen. I'm obsessive about scratches and always keep my phone seperate to keys, coins etc.
I was gutted to find that after four hours of owning the phone, the screen has light scrathes on it! How they were caused I have no idea, but obviously the blurb about it having a scratch resistant screen is absolute tripe.
Dishonest advertising on Sony Ericsson's part.

The W395 is useless to support all mp3 bitrates and classifies the media as unsupported format what use is it then as a walkman model anyway, as i spent good money for nothing
