I looooove this phone!!! There are three sprekers but only two that work for the music player, the other one works for voice call. I had W800 before and when I changed to this phone people thought I was crazy. I always used the VGA size of camera when I had W800 anyway and always used around 150 MB of memory for music so I thought I wouldn't loose anything, beside, I got some money back when I changed my phone. Compared to W800, W550 has more advanced and more sophisticated User Interface (menu). Try it and you will know what I mean. Just for an example: unlike W800, you can use other menu instantly after you send emails because you don't have to wait until the email is sent to use other menus. It has 1000 phone book memory too!!!!! The speakers are just awesome!!!! And the call voice is louder than W800! (with W800 I always had sore ears because I had to pree the phone closer to hear the caller on the other line. Conslusion: I love W550 better than W800!

This fone just rawks ... the sound is marvellous ... SE has done a great job by launching this fully Equiped Multimedia fone. Great Job Guyzz !!

i notice..many of the pple are asking questions when no one is answering..the loudspeaker is 2 speakers if im nt wrong..its really loud.. the wap prob..i can't help cos i don use it, the guy/gal who is asking if he/she should get w550 or s700..its realy obvious, w550..the software is better the sound is better..the camera most probably is better..the amt of songs we can load in it is abt 90, some pple can load even more..it depends on the bitrate which determinds the size of the song, the cover thingy..u can get it either online or at any sony ericsson service centers..i saw it at the singapore one, its gg for 28 S$,

of course this phone is better then the samsung e730..and this phone is great!! the overall look and the interface..simply cool.. i used to hate sony ericsson..but after the k750i, w800i, w550i..it chance my total mindset of sony ericsson..althought is phone's camera is not tat good..but its more on the music side..the sound quality simply rox!! won't regret when u get it..

jus use the disc to phone feature..jus change the target bitrate.. there are abt 5-6 options.. and its great..try it!

hi... sony ericsson W550 vr gd handphone.. but it cannot add memory... although it cheaper than W800 but i still love it...n W550 1 use camera put vr difficult... so here 1 ask W550 got infrared? tq...

i'm a total nokia freak, but i have to say that when this phone comes out over here on payg i'm going to find it really hard to resist buying it, after reading up on it, there doesn't seem to be anything i don't like about it.

i want to buy this phone,but I have a question about Wap 2.0.
I'm using NOkia 3100, Wap 1.2, in China Mobile network, and have no problems whatsoever accessing my Yahoo mailbox, reading and writing e mails. A friends of mine has Sony Ericsson S700, Wap 2.0, and when she tries to open her mails in her Yahoo account, it gives a notice that there's an error on the page and it cann;t be displayed.
so i'm worried, is this to do with the WAP versions, and if i buy the W550 i'll have the same problem with viewing my emails?

this fone looks gr8...i am planning to buy this phone..can anyone tell me wat r all the various types of video files that this phone wil play...and is it possible to install our own softwares...like wat we can do in symbion powered phones like n6600....thank u pleas some one mail me abt these thinks who ever knows it better...bye

this the other one and w900 are swivel walkmans not flip ups :)the difference is that this one comes with better music options and software

hey guys, i have just ordered this phone and i'm told it comes with all 3 different coloured covers, orange, white and blue, which is cool but does anyone know where i could buy a pink cover? i have looked on e bay and google and haven't managed to find anything, please reply!

When using it as a phone to answer a call -- how many speakers work? I'm looking for a really loud and clear speakerphone. I've tried the W800i and that isn't good enough. This might not be either if only 1 speaker works!

oh ya.. and i heard that we can turn on the walkman only and not with the phone..is it true? or workable??
