I really dont like the fact that the contacts are seperate ie, jonh/home, john cell etc. its so frustrating as my k750i had 1 contact and the numbers all under one name. Its afunky phone though. battery good plenty mem, nice little phone

Hii, I´ve had my w550i in 1 year now. The sound is the best I ever heard!!, The cam is´nt good, but still, it´s good to be 1 years old. The only different between the new mobiles today is that whey have 3G and memorycard, but it´s 256mb in the phone so you can have queit many songs. IT´s A GOOD PHONE!:D

it's not a symbian handset so it won't read .sis instead it will read .jar and .jad files

i've had the phone for almost a year now and the screen has gone white is there any way it can be fixed? it is on contract so will they replace it??

Exelent Phone, the speakers are very loud and clear!!! is far away the more volume phone in the market Ive test N80, N73, W800, W300 but this phone really rocks, the bad is the no memoricard hole but it still being a good phone

as i connect my handset to pc via usb connecter it is asking for the cd(software) the cd i lost i want to get back the warrnty is expired what to do

this phone is great i had this phone but one disvantage in it is no externel memory an other is quality of sound when you use head phone its sound quality is best when you turn mega bass . when you remove head phone itsa sound quality uis not so better but good . its picture quality is very good in my opinion it is complete phone for music lover so buy it use it and post your opinion god bye and enjoy it

have had this phone for six months already ... don't know what the fuss is all about the white screen of death but i have never experienced it (yet). as long as one doesn't completely fill the internal memory or properly disconnects the usb connection after using laptop/computer, i think everything should be fine.
i have about 70 full songs with a 96 kb rate (they still sound good), 18mb in videos, maybe 10mb in pictures and mp3 ringtones with 18mb left over in free memory for whatnot ...
it's still the best walkman phone for its value. just buy an extra battery though

Yes, I'm afraid the screen does go white - aka White Screen of Death - and it won't work. At all. I know because mine has just done this again 30minutes ago for the second time in 3 months. I've only had it since last July. Unfortunately, my old faithful XDA packed up last week too, so now I'm without a phone.
I've learnt that when it's about to happen the white screen will appear momentarily when I turn it on. Also it develops a nasty habit of turning itself off when I put it down after sending a message. Strangely, I had an old Ericsson T10 years ago which used to turn itself off - still loved that phone.
But it seems that the WSOD problem is throughout the SonyEricsson range, and is particularly bad with the w550i and K700. Reflashing may help, but really you'll have to bring it back to where you bought it.
Gorgeous phone, lovely to use but horrifically unreliable from my experience and research.

can dis fone store only upto 120-150 msgs...coz it says text msg memory full wen it goes beyond 150...is there anyway i can increase the msg storage capacity??? plz help

this phone is great its sount when you turn it mega bass it is rock its pictures quality and memory is also rock and its features fm radio and walkman media is very very good its turning shape is also rocks so friends dont bye any other phone except this because phone is the best phone in the world.so go with w550i

This phone is rocking from last two years but now this phone is outdated many other phone now offer more feature at the same cost and this phone getting tough competition in terms of speaker and music from Nokia small store dont offer this phone now however still it is nice phone
