RE: John, u asked if the the w550 was louder than the k750i? Well, yes it it, much louder, the w550 has over three speakers which are all stereo which alone are loud, but when you change the equalizer you can really hear the result.... hope that helped John

i had this phone the only thing wrong with this phone is the twist function it dosnt last very long as i found out mine fell apart

Was the ultimate phone to me b4 it crashed - white screen problem. I managed to get someone to fix it only for it to crash less than 2 weeks later. The screen is white, no keypad illumination, no booting. The 2nd crash was fantastic. The phone had spasms. It got white screen, got normal, no screen and then white screen. Glad to know it can be fixed. Sony should make the new software available or recall the phones just like they did with their laptop batteries recently.

right ive got this phone and the white screen thing happened to me..its basically a software fault that is easily repaired but aparently you cant stop it from happening.just if it does send it away and its fixed in a week.they added loads of upgrades on mine for aswell.xxxx

I recently bought the W550i and im completely satisfied with all the features.
Technically, the sony phones have features that nokia users can only wish for.
But all said and done, its only for technically inclined people, cause it gives a lot of freedom in terms of programming. It is not for naive users who desire ease of use.
Recently i was even able to browse the web using my pc's net connection on bluetooth wirelessly, using this tutorial > http://nmanoj.blogspot.com/2006/11/access-internet-wirelessly-using.html. bye bye GPRS... LOL
W550i simply ROCKS !
People who criticise it are just too naive to understand its features and the freedom it provides for programmers...

Please help. My screen is also white and i cannot retrieve my telephone numbers. had to buy another phone. otherwise phone is great. can someone respond to me as to how can i get out of this white screen.

hi.it is a good mobile nice looking.plz keep away from this because its software gets damaged and u can not install that software because the company has not given the software to the market yet

it was nice.. till last night.
i had same white screen problem. i am kinda relieved to know that it's not my fault and it can be corrected. but i'll have to wait till i go back home.
otherwise it is a nice phone.
good storage space, but can be increased.
sound with headphones is good, but without headphones... nah! it always gives me headache.
its good. but better options are available.
