hi anirudh, update ur firmware to the latest via gprs. Its absolutely free. I did it yesterday and i dont face any probs til now...

hi guys.. i was very happy with my w550i until recently it suffered a WSOD.[for first time readers it means my w550i crashed and was left only with a white screen and wasn't responding to anything at all]. my biggest mistake was to purchase it without warranty so as to save some 2000 rupees.. now i took it to the dealer and he very coolly told me to spend 800 rupees for a new software flash.. i agreed and got my cell bak.. to my horror my model changed to w550c. after checkin i got that the chinese firmware was loaded upon asking the guy said the international firmware was crashing on it over n over again.. all was fine and done till i finally used my now w550c for it's real work.. music thru it's blastin speakers!!
to my horror!! it just sounded like sound from a k750/w800 speaker.. the beats were still loud as they should be but the voice of the song had reduced.. it was like the speakers before used to blast the voice thru dem but not now.. only the beats blast and the voice seems like very suppressed..
i tried the mp's too which i had before re flashing in case of the bitrate problem but invain. so now the biggest charm for my w550i has gone as the reproduction of the sound isn't phenomenal any more..
any help or suggestions guys.? i'm ready to do anything to get it's real speaker performance bak..
plzz help me.. is it because of the firm ware change or some other bug??!!

I liked it, I can use it inside the aircraft as mobile can be switched off and can work in MP3 only mode.

The new firmware R4CB020 is out !!!!!!!!!!!! I updated my firmware over the GPRS using the update service function (really innovative technology)! It was really cool and simple. It took me about 30 minutes for the whole process. I dunno what issues have been fixed in this version since i didnt have any probs already with the previous firmware. One thing i noticed so far is that the stereo widening option gets saved this time ! Besides i feel the in-built netfront browser has been updated coz my homepage looks a bit different this time( BBC PDA edition) . I ll post more about the new fixes as soon as i discover them.

Hi hemant I suppose u wld have 2 take it to the service center to check whts the fault….this kinda thing is weird but if the phone is not turning on have u removed the battery and inserted it again? try it else take it to service ppl...

hi all, i have a query regarding the walkman application, when u exit it, stereo widening feature gets turned off automatically and u hv to enable it everytime u start walkman, is there any way around to keep it on??

i'm quiet happy becoz all prob that happen to me before now solved after upgrade with new firmware!
but....i'm quiet dissapointing becoz with this new firmware.....this phone act differently....
what that mean???
highlight not same in each menu.....it's slide and jump....i hope with this new firmware all highlight will move by slide ONLY and no more jump like old phone!
and picture taken with camera still cannot be rename.....!huh!

I have W550i sonyericsson cellphon.
I installed a theme and then activated it, but after it the phone hasn't started again,
please tell me how can I de active the theme or how can I reset the phone!
and plz tell me how formatting on my cellphon.

Hey ppl,i got this fone,has fantastic music(just out ofthe world)also key lock s pretty xciting.however the camera i feel is not very effective.i cannot click gr8 pictures.Any opinion on its camera??would really lov to know if it is better

R4BA041 is the latest firmware. it was there when i bought the phone. i dont face any probs till now. i just love this baby . am gettin addicted to it kinda. its a non stop entertainer for me. i use it atleast 6 hours a day:-)

Dr.Nic, you can use the flash as a camera and you can only encrypt (password protect) individual files with the software I mentioned.

Hi frnds, Pls for god sake let me know which is the latest software R4AB0048 OR RB4AB0041. Whenever I update from mobile it say it has latest software in it i.e.R4AB0048.

Hi Anand, FAcing problem of White screen. done software updation many times whenever i switch on my mobile. FAcing peculiar problem. Whenever i recd any msg, it shows 2 msg in inbox instead of one. Same thing happens in sending sms also. When i delete one msg, the other automatically deletes iteself. Dont know what is this....?????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Pls suggest me what to do......
My software version is " CXC1250086 R4AB048 000000" dont know whether it is latest one or not but whenever i update my mobile it says" you have latest software". Sometimes I Surf Wap sites during which the screen goes white. To get back the normal screen, i have to switch off the mobile first & restart it again.
Pls tell me why it is happening??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
