hey guys i got the phone two days back.
till now every one else who got the phone was getting white extra panel with it. i was lucky to get that dark blue kit.
had a bit of difficulty in changing the panel. there are no instructions in the guide book.
THIS PHONE ROCKS.
BUT THAN THERE IS COMPLAINS ABOUT SCREEN GETTING DEAD ON 15TH OR 17TH DAY....

Hey Guys! I bought the fone the other day n I have to say its the best! I have also a motorola V3x and that battery died, phone turned on and off, freezes and mp3 volume was barely a whisper. SE right now make the best fones. But... the music transfer software isnt working atm???

I have a question for you, maybe you can help me...
I received a Sony Ericsson W550i one month ago, now I activated GPRS on my mobile operator and I want to acces Yahoo Messenger.
I can acces the internet, Yahoo mail, but messenger doesn't work. I heard that I must download some softs/ applications to acces Yahoo messenger?

finally i got my phone back with latest software!
but i lil'bit confuse...becoz....
before my phone "dead".....my phone's model is W550i..........but after i got it back,my phone's model change to W550c.......c?
what happen actually??

Hi,
I have loaded "rm format" music files into the phone from the computer. But they have moved into "others" folder inside "File Manager" and I dont get play option for them.
Can anyone tell me whether this phone supports "rm format" music files. If so how to install the Realone Player into the phone?

I really suggest u guys buy dis phone, cos its s cool!!!! Its like amazing! You get 2 change da covers PLUS I got dis Helly Kitty thing which came wif it, quite weird actually, buts its cool! Da screen is big and colourful!

erm...u cant zoom if the full size image...the biggest size....u can zoom in video and while taking video though :D....and the price is quite affordable ^.^...6270 is quite good but it looks like a square box in ur pocket =.=

hy all ppl who ve bought sony w550i plz reply to me...in gs marena review they say that u can't zoom when u take photos in full resolution ..is that right and can i zoom while taking videos and to what extent??plz reply

ok guys, this is a good phone. i had this phone for a couple of days and it is amazing. u wont have to use two hand to answer a phone while u do for a flip, and u wont accidentally call somebody because the number keys are hidden. plus, the swivel design is easy to get used to. the screen is bright too. the camera is good but not good in dark areas. This phone, unlike the W900, isnt bulky so it can comfortably fit in ur pocket. the screen is pretty tough, although since my last phone was a pda with a big screen, im pretty cautious about my screen. The package is good too, comfortable and awesome headphones, and software, maunals, etc etc. and the call quality is amazing, probably because its an mp3 phone. one more thing thats amazing is the freakishly long battery life. the last time i charged my phone was when i got it. i bluetoothed the pics from my old phone, played games, eddited some contacts, called some people, and its still has 70% battery left!! the only real flaw is that it doesnt have an external or expandable memory. but who really needs memory? this phone has an in-built 256mb thingamabob. and the song quality is fantastic. and plus, since this phone is a pretty old model, its pretty cheap, especially if u trade in ur old phone. this package also comes with a white or blue shell so u can change the orange to white or blue or with both on at the same time. even though u have to pick the life defining choice on picking the optional blue or white shell, the orange is nearly perfect. i picked white cuz i think it looks better. dont worry about the keypad size cuz its good. texting is easy and i was spoiled with a touchscreen pad where theres already an english keyboard to text with. ive been cell phone hunting for about 3 months, comparing this phone with the L7, treo, E770, V3 models, NEC L1, Nokia N92, N91, N71, and i dont reget my decision. I highly recommend this phone. who cares if its not 3G, JUST BUY IT!

1. Is there a sound when taking photos and video?.
2. Can Video and Sound recorded non stop directly till memory is full?
3. Can phone converstions be recorded?
4. Is Video recorded with sound?
5. Is the phone supplied with USB cable or should we purchase it separate?
6. For FM radio can we use speaker or should we use earphones?
7. Can IR used for transfering data.
8. In what all colors are the phone available in India. Do we get another face plate with the phone. Is it possible to purchase another color( dark one) from show room.

guys i downloaded a java download manager called mobilget. it can download multiples files at the same time:) . only difficulty is that its in russian:(

erm...wierd question...of coz most of functions can be done wif the fon closed unless u wanna use the numberpad XD...and the swivel is strong...unless u hit it REALLY hard a lotta times or u PURPOSELY try to break it....:P...

Hi to all,
Is it true that most functions can be done with the phone in the closed position? For example can one browse the phone's menu, answer a call, etc. in the closed position? And how strong is the phone's swivel joint?
Sorry for my ignorance but I have never owned a swivel phone before and I am seeking some answers before buying one someday.

you can only view 3gp videos which have a resolution of 176x 144 on this cell..
the video u were tryig must have been of some other resolution..
try converting it with xilisoft video converter and then play on ur phone..that should solve ur problem..
