i am a total die hard sony eric fan but this damn phone really has me thinking,1st my keypad packed up now my memory card aint working i just dont know wats going on???? TOTALLY DISAPOINTED

totally waste...its jus d 4th month and i hav already given it 4 service thrice,im still havin a hell lot of problems. even my frd has got a lot of probs and he has filed a complaint in the court.ur money `ll go waste if u r going 2 get tis phone

This phone looks amazing... but believe me, it's not! It's now April, and my phone has been taken into repair FOUR times now since i received it s a Christmas present. The keys crack easily and the shake control is un-reliable! Although, with all due respect, Sony Ericsson usually make stunning phones but with this one, i think they have tried to pack to many gimmicks in that the real need for a mobile (calling, nd texting WITHOUT freezing) has been dismissed!

To answer G's question, the number 34 in the bottom left hand corner of the screen is most probably the number of steps you have taken that day. The phone has a pedometer incorporated into it. Hope this helps.

I have had my phone 9 months now, and it's GREAT!
A 4GB M2 memory card is currently being used and I have had NO problems whatsoever, other than needing 8GB for all the MP3s, pictures, themes, movies (porn) and TV shows on it!
I originally thought the video player was missing the fast forward / rewind feature, but all you have to do is hold the fwd or back arrow down for a bit to get the video where you need it.
No keys have cracked. Whoever cracks their keys is pressing TOO HARD. You're not jerking off, you're dialing a phone number.
If you drop it in a puddle, don't expect anyone to cover it under warranty. It is not waterproof. If you want to drop it in a pool or puddle, put it in a plastic bag first... :-)

W580 keypad is week ie easily carck, battery life is short.So think twice before
you want to get this phone.

Be ware of this poor quality model.
Keypad crack and take time to get service centre to repair casuse of no/low spare parts.If you like this phone is the same as
throwing $$$$$$. Why you want this stupid hp.

dude, haven't the warranty states that if the phone is exposed to liquid, it's not covered?

DO NOT BUY PHONE! I drop mine in a puddle and Sony Ericsson won't fix it, surely a phone should be designed to stand up to everyday wear and tear such as getting wet. This phone cost me money and I am sad that now I have less money. Warning: Do not drop on water cos it cant be fixed. Bastards!

This is a good phone. I had it for 2 months after selling my nokia 6085. and it is not that strong cuz when i dropped it it turned off but it is still working fine. And who ever wrote that your phone fell in the washing machine. Daaaaaaaaa the phone won't turn on, it is called luiquid damage.

Don't buy this phone.. After using for about 6 months the phone died on me...Out of nowhere it just stopped working!!

I bought it for almost 4months ago. I like it very much, but time goes by, something terrible happens, the keypad broke into 2 pieces (each of that). Before I bought, my friend has told me that some of his friends also have the same problems.

the sony ericsson is a really cool phone.i had it and i loved it sooo much but then it went through the washing machine and wouldn't turn on.and i had only had it for two weeks before it broke.now i like the lg ke970 shine.i would highly consider the sony ericsson or the lg shine to everyone!

dont buy this phone!! i had it for 6 months and its completely dead. my friend had the same phone and his died in 6 months as well!!!

Get it the phone is a good solid phone with all the bells and whistles and then some! I have had mine for about 3 months now and I am more than happy with it. You do have to get used to the menu if you've never had a Sony Ericsson but the it is feature loaded. The camera takes amazing pics, the sound quality of the music thwough the phone speaker is good and through the headphones is even better w/ equalizer options to customize the sound. Tust me once you get it you wont be ableto put it down. As far as the cracked displays and keys the best thing I can say is if your not careful w/ your current phone just be sure to have insurance on your account through your service provider so your covered just in case. And just to let you know i work for a service provider and I've only seen 4 of them returned; since it came out, 3 w/ cracked displays but each time was user fault you could tell where they had dropped the phone and caused the damage. 1 with broken keys and that person we where able to replace it in store because it happened within 30 days so it was under warranty and she got a new one the same day.
