this phone is "not worth, not good buy" the "keypads cracks" buyers don't be "fooled" by this phone...i think this is a "piece of crap". not worthy to buy...they just sell it on the market without even testing it "i have proof" this is made of "low quality materials" for "experimental purpose only". if you bought this you consider your self an "experiment guineapigs", i admit i am...don't want you to be.

And the plastic keypad is really crap! They crack and chip open, (that's only if you are a sms freak...)

Yeah. I reckon this phone has great features but have had owned two of these the Sony Ericsson S500i the non walkman version of this phone, more like a fashionable version of the w580i. The cons of these phones are that they a very very weak so take caution when handling, and the 'hash'# button on both phones keep on going faulty. When you drop this phone it fully opens up (from a 1m drop). So be very careful!!!

Harika, 04 Dec 2008i have brought this mob 6 months back.. now i am facing pro... morei luv this phone but i had too return it first due to camera problems then after a few months of use there was a loud buzzing/interferance when i tried to make calls. they said it was microphone, also the keypad had to be replaced due to keys all breaking up.

i have brought this mob 6 months back.. now i am facing prob with my speaker.. i am unable to hear it infact i am not even getting my ringtone.. even the keypad is being worst.. is anyone else facing this prob?

This phone is awesome in Urban grey colour. Its an alluring phone with high bass and good speaker. Also like the battery time which is better than nokia 5310

Though I've deleted the applications and games still they keep showing it on the folders, when i try to delete it from the phone by pressing "C" it says "Operation failed". Anyone can help???

maddy, 02 Dec 2008iam going to buy the w580... wat's all your sug....It's a great phone I must say, but if you're looking for better data capabilities you may wanna see the w595, which is a slider Walkman phone and is pretty much the same theme (and probably price) as this one.
The main disadvantages in the w580 is the lack of flash and 3G capabilities. There's also another thing, don't overuse the directional pad by pressing with your fingernails, this really screws up the look of the phone as the keys wear out easily, unless you don't mind about it (it is not a disadvantage, actually).
I also suggest you wait for the w705. It's seems to be a good phone but may be costly as well.
To put it straight, I recommend this phone for you, the w580.

I have been using this fone for the past 6-7 months
Pros:
Sleek and attractive looks. the front speaker and the D pad is awesome
Music output is also good
Cons:
Keypad is pathetic
The display screen doesnt have a protective cover and is very vulnerable. I myself faced many problems bcoz of it and also heard others facing the same
The camera in foto mode doesnt support digital zoom
There is no flash in the phone
There are no call receive and call end buttons

yo dude..this phone is cool..but my buttons cracked..what is that!?!..yeahh..buh my phone works fine..but why does it go slow??..and also i cant uhhh umm put songs on it no more..why cant i??

I have owned this phone for over a year and a half now, has been into the carphone warehouse repair centre once, fixed for free, lasted another 6 months then top buttons (below the screen) stopped working again. Good phone up until the top buttons break. You decide, good phone when it works!

i have this phone and the buttons have cracked and the back button come out the screen was all blured i had it sent off for repair and within 2 weeks of it coming back the screen wont come on so it needs to be sent off AGAIN for repair
so i wouldn't recomend any one to buy this phone
