I bought a w580 about three month ago... It's great! I don't have any problem with it.

i think the cracking keypad is cause bt sweaty hands/fingers, the sweat erases the paint on the keys. i got my w580i i dont have sweaty hands and i txt alot and still i havnt cracked any single pad, so im assuming its the sweat that causing the key pad problem..

to the people wondering whether to buy the w580i i would say i have both the white one and they grey one. i bought the white one last october and there are no problems with it at all. i liked itso much i bought the grey one but two keys did crack so i sent it to sony themselves and they repaired it within 5 days and returned it to me. the grey one is a little loose on the bottom lip but it such a lovely phone i can live with that and my white one is perfect. I know it is frustrating when they keys crack but it doesnt seem to affect all of them. if it does happen you would be covered under its warranty and the light son the phone truly are amazin

will08, 06 Jun 2008worst fone u cud ever buy i haev sent it bak many atime j... morei bought the w580 just over a month ago , it worked great to start with then just a few days ago it started eating up the battery it would only last half a day , then the phone went dead i bought a replacement battery but it still dosent work , im not even gonna bother putting it back to shop cause i know ill have to wait about a month for it to be returned , ive chucked it in bin , and im going to buy a new cell tommorow and it wont be , yes youve guessed right be a sony ericsson i think ill go back to nokia

This phone isn't worth a darn. The keys crack and if you play the downloaded songs too much they will stop playing. Or get scrathed up badley. It's not worth the money. DON'T BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!!

its a complete rubbish fone

karlie, 04 Jun 2008can anyone tell me if there was a color manufactured from t... moreThe keypad is an ongoing issue with the key pads cracking and from my knowledge working with returns of defective phones, The pink ones also have cracked keypads after they supposedly fixed them. It is under waranty but only 30 days. Stear clear of this phone!!

The W580i is great i love i have it almost a year now. it is just satisfying. I looked on the market for a good cellphone, liked a few including this one, researched it on the internet went to see some demos on it and then concluded. You see you have to know what you value most on a cellphone and what features you need and want and off course quality comes with a price. After that it's just smooth sailing. I love it!

This phone is gorgeous (I got the green one), has a large display, it's lightweight, small and has lovely color graphics. There are so many features I may never use them all. The incoming audio is top-notch. I have one problem - the audio is so loud to those I talk to that they have to hold the phone a foot from their ear even when the speaker is under my chin and it sill sounds as if I'm screaming at them. I've spoken with my provider and the manufacturer and both say that there is nothing to be done about out-going audio. CAN ANYONE HELP?

I love the phone. Got it around chrsitmas time, keys never cracked, always worked perfectly even after I dropped it on the ground a million times. But I just knocked it into the sink, and its acting like its trying to fan itself off? Not sure. Wouldn't stop buzzing so i took the battery back out. Hoping the phone still works, but not surprised if I need a new one. It did go into a foot of water after all. But no problems other than the one I caused myself. I recommend the phone.

can anyone tell me if there was a color manufactured from the get-go that did not have the defective keypad issue, i thought that the new ones like pink and green were manufactured after the defect was supposedly "fixed" by sony ericsson in all the new phones that went out. Does anyone own a pink or green one that doesnt have the keypad issue?

This fone is just gr8! But the battery life is a disappointment bearing in mind that it has a walkman.the lights btw the slides is just the thing! Jay
