Looks good. But lacks the Autofocus Function for the camera which is included in K750i, W800 & W810.

I see only a different with W800, about camera: W700 don't has autofocus funtion as W800,has it ?

Bought W700 yesterday. Music sound while playing through music player is bit soft or supressed, but when playing the same mp3 as a ringtone its pretty loud. Transferred a same file to a pal's K750 n his sound was better than mine. Can anyone help me y is this hapenning. How to also check the firmware. PL let me know

Seeing as the W700 is a low-end version of the now discontinued W800, this is certainly a great "intro" into the Sony Ericsson W series of phones. If you want a nice Walkman phone, but don't want to spend a ton on the W900, but still want more features than the W600, this is the phone to get. Plus, it has a nice brown/gold hue to it, which is a welcome addition to the white/orange of the former W800. Overall, this isn't a great phone, but it's not expensive, and still functions just as well as the old W800, with only a few true downsides.

I just received this phone at work, and unlike the W800i, there are sony ericsson speakers included! Very good sound :)

yes even in india site they havent taken off the coming soon for w700i but still its available across the country

Hi All..
I own a W800. In my opinion, W800 is much better than this one.
There is no need to brag much about the latest firmware of W700. Latest Firmware is not at all a problem. Just go to nearest SE service center and u'll have the latest firmware just within an hour without loss of any data.
As far as features are concerned, this phone lacks a great feature called AutoFocus. Also comes with only 256 MB stick.
Also i dont like the yukky golden color with silver sides.
So in short, i;ll avoid wasting any of my time looking at this phone.

W700 has the latest firmware just like the w810i infact both the phones firmware are almost the same example the stereo widening in w550 well guess what that aint the only phone with that feature even w700i and w810i have the feature and the outdated firmware of w800i dosent have stereo widening so if u look in a way SE has done a right thing in launching the w700 model because in the first place it is the more advanced model than its older w800i in firmware and design.
Juz because w700 is a number lower than w800 it dosent mean that it must be a phone that has less features or a older firmware in fact it has more features and an updated firmare than w800i W700i is almost same to w810i except for 1 or 2 more options and everythin is the same like the w810i except for the auto focus camera ! and this was the reason for SE to launch w700 and not for any other silly reasons that u guys think about
SE launched w700i as a sucessor of the w800i with advanced features if u guys dont believe me check out the actual phones and see for urself's or got to SE website and check out the try the phone and SE has updated the firmare of the walkman series phones and launched the w700 with the updated new firmware and ofcource with a better colour combination ! SE ROX

W700 looks great in ur hand we had a chance to have a look at the final product including the packing as far as wer concerned the phone looks brilliant and the colour combination is more better and vibrant than w800 infact this is the most beautiful walkman phone SE has made yet and not to say about the packing its totally different than the other walkman's and each acessory is packed in a black box once u open the box ur eyes get a good glimps at the phone and then u need to remove the phone embeded in a black casing to view the acessories and the phone is more smooth and shiny and dosent look plastic at all it looks more solid and shines like a car
And all those uv said the phones not good well better have a good look at it and then talk about it just beacuse it has smaller memory card and no auto focus it dosent mean that the phone wont be a hit and all those who have had a look at the pictures of the phone on the web sites plzz dont judge the final product to be so it looks better than that !

Man! Wat is the diff. between W800 with this phone.Come on!SE giveus some good phoe at least give the phone with more Megapixel.Such as more than 2 MP.
