This phone has automatic switch off/on problem since i bought. charging port is loose.battery back up is less. these r the problems i faced in 2 months. it has very bad performance. i think company has made this phone in hurry without seing it's hardware prob

Hi, i bought this fone a while ago, i was wondering, to the right of the "walkman" text it has a weird spot. At first i thought it was a mini camera for the video conference, but i'm not sure. Does anybody know whats that "hole" for ?

Alternatively, you can go to File manager(Found in the Organizer) and find your mp3. When the song is highlighted, go Options and choose Use as>Ringtone

so i just bought the phone its amazing but one thing is all of my pictures appear in the media and some are very personal , is there any way so that my pictures do not appear in the media ?

If you save messages to phone memory it will still save a LOT of messages but eventually you'd have to delete them.
I would suggest saving messages, photos and everything on the card, coz this phone is unreliable and if it crashes, you could lose everything.

But if you follow this forum and/or any other for the W760, you will see more complaints than compliments. And most of the complaints are common.
This obviously means that there is an issue with the phone that SE has chosen to ignore.

Sony Ericssion W760 phone
I have not have any joy since i have purchase my phone.
The volume buttom stop working and camera no longer save pictures i have the phone for 2 month now and i have go in store to have the phone repairs, i was very dissppointed to hear that it would cost me R 500 to have it repair ..
Going forward i suggest i handset thatis able to last ..

Hosh, 11 Feb 2009My phone is totally upgraded and up to date with its softwa... moreyeah i agree with you,, now a days since the ericsson phone become slimmmer,, they seems become more fragile,, i cant understand why they sacrifice durabilty over the good looks,, i dont care about style,, i care about durability & quality,, and that made me a pro ericsson,, but now a days,, i have second thoughts in my mind whatever sony ericsson releases a new product,, i have my W850 & its still with me today, but my W910i, W715 seems to have a problem restarting issue, and i replace the ribbon of my w910 2x,, sony,,pls make youre phone more durable,, and also the parts availability,, i really love ericsson phones,, but not just the style,, but the DURABILITY

I do not use PC Suite, it conflicks with my MS Outlook, I use MOBILedit mobile management application instead. May I know why you want to use PC Suite?

W760i, a perfect sibling, only one of many. It has to be understood that in a production batch that left the factory, one or more would turn out to have a problem, I pity those unlucky few.

I upgraded it the day i got it and when it went to SE for repair i checked with them an they agreed that it had the latest software. I went to 'update service' in my phone and it still shows the latest software.
My phone still freezes and does the things its not supposed to. SE replaced the board on the phone and it still persists.
Lets face it, bad phone from SE and those who argue obviously are new to SE and have not been with them thru their good years. SE made phones that worked, no matter what.
I was talking on my Z710 when it fell out of my hand and was run over by a speeding Mitsubishi. Both the front and rear tyres ran over my open phone and all that happened was that i lost my call. When i picked up my phone, it was intact and all the features worked. That, my friend, is the SE phones I am used to. And those are the kind of phones that made SE the company it is today. I've been using them since 2003(T610).
