shopao, 11 Jan 2009even at the sony ericsson service center, they failed to up... morehello shopao... it is very unusual that even se service center can not update w760i, there could be some issues with se update server in your region, here in mea region, the update process is straightforward.

The best thing I like this phone is the robustness of the operating system which is a SE proprietary... somebody in this forum said: "like no other"... I like those words. But like others, i.e. Java (*.jar) applications, this phone handles best. Onboard modem of this phone is robust too, I can connect my PC to the web effortlessly after BT pairing and its quite fast with 3G... no need for other softwares like PC Suite. Another thing which I admire having this phone is the accuracy of its location services like Google Maps that with cell triangulation supplemented by assisted GPS, I only get a single digit error in meters and even no error at all sometimes... I wouldn't be lost in the city again. I hope those first hand experience with this phone help.

even at the sony ericsson service center, they failed to update my fone. i mean, they failed to update all the fones (w760i) of their customers including me. i think there's no problem on my cellphone neither on my internet connection.
@ Manny : yap, my fone was fully charged when i attempt to update my fone. thanks though.

1. Does this... more1.no the phone does not slow down when a 4gbcard is used.(I tried it with the prebundled 1gb card and the 4gb card which i bought)
2. the phone comes with the HPM-64 headphones.
3.From my experience, the phone is as loud, maybe louder than my friend's W595

The sound through the speakers should be audible in places of heavy traffic.. I want it to be louder than at least w580i.. can a seus firmware update increase the sound output?..

If your operator supports video calling, then what you have to do is just flip your phone so that you are in-front of the camera. W760i has more in it than just video calling. It is the winner phone in its price bracket.

zayra, 10 Jan 2009ok..can someone explain this to me..this w760 is 3G phone..... more3G just means that you can transfer data alot faster than a regular phone. If you are looking for a phone that has video call this is not it, tho you will need 3G for video call feature to work.

hello to all. ive used this phone for two weeks, then i gave it to my younger sister then i bought an Eseries nokia.
to answer some questions, this phone wont slow down when you insert higher mem phone. The speaker of w595 is louder than w760. for the second question, that i have to find the package again. i failed to notice that one.

1. Does this phone slow down when a 4gb card is used when compared to lower sized cards.. i read in a review that the speed decreases.. wanna know whether it s true..
2. the headphone provied in the sales package is hpm-64 or hpm-70??
3. Are the stereo speakers louder than w580i or w595??
I'm planning to buy this phone in a couple of weeks.. ppl who have used this hp kindly share your views..

Guys, I've had my w760 for about 2 months now and dust particles have slowly been accumulating under the screen. I mean, we're talking tiny particles that do not affect the screen at all, but it's still really annoying. Anyone else having that issue? Otherwise I love the phone, but I definitely miss having an LED like my k850. Thanks for any comments.
