for the problem of the phone freezing when playing music, videos, or etc... just update the software, I had that problem and they updated the software and the problem was gone

Hey guys those who purchased the retail unit i wanted to ask whether this phone has visual equalisers as shown in the review by gsmarena or does it have the same old equalizers like w580i..also does it have clear bass technology.. and how is quality of the music thru earphones?? I am confused whether to buy it or not .plss guide me

i have the same problem with the walkman player and the laggy interface when music is playing.
However, i think the flickering screen is due to the ambient light sensor adjusting to the ambient light.
Pls correct me if im wrong

hey guys I've been having quite a few problems with my w760..
1. The music playback freezes for like 2-3 seconds every now and then.
2. My screen if constantly flickering.. (dunno if anyone else is facing this problem)
3. The lag is terrible when you try to send a a message with walkman on..
But all in all..
Its a good phone.. the speakers are fantastic and the GPS is great fun to use..

It's a nice phone with great features. But it has disantvantages. The camera is bad and the gps takes about 15 minutes to get a signal. It pretty much sucks, but when it finally gets a signal it's good. I use google maps because wayfinder requires payment in order to use it. Besides the wayfinder can't download or show the maps and I don't know why, so I am not going to pay for something I can't use.
So if you want to use gps forget it, it also takes all the battery and it won't last a n ormal route.
But as a mobile phone it's great and the (rare) times you can find a gps signal you will enjoy it with google maps

Anonymous, 23 Jul 2008I have the W580i and the speakers are very clear without he... moreI bought this phone for 3 weeks ago, and I have to say that it is at very good phone.
The stereo speakers in font of the phone has very good quality sound to be just from the phone without using external speakers/headphones, but the bundeled MAS-100 speaker has a bit better sound, and a pluss for the radio antenna.
The GPS function is using the web to get maps and is not as good as a proper GPS, but i will work if you are on a place you arent known on.
If I should mentioned something that is a bit negative that would be the camera, it takes good pictures when you are on a lighthed up place, but it still have no camera lights or flash. And the w760i have no videocall camera.
The package i recieved with the phone was also quite good, you got the standard walkman handsfree/earphoneplugs (glad that I can use my 3,5mm earphones instead of the originals), USB cable for PC, charger and all standard things, and I also got the mentioned MAS-100 speaker/carrying bag and the MMC-70 cable so you can connect it with a stereosystem or something like that (it's a 3,5mm jack plug to connect to a 3,5mm AUX port).
So i overall, this is a great phone if you like music, it have som great multimedia applications, very good bundle package, nice keys and mutch more... So if you can do without some of the camera features/videocall camera, then I would recomend this phone. I will also mention that i live in Norway, so I don't know what packages it will come in outside this country.
