FOR COOZA: if a phone has 3G doesn't meant that supports video call. For example look at the NOKIA E60: 3G but no camera! Find out what 3G is and then open your mouth ;)

the gsm stats say its 3g but i dont see any cam in the foto.are they wrong or is it invisable?and hows the mp3 bass quality?or is it aslo invisable?!

and it can play WMV video files..amazing...i simply want this phone...is my dream...i will miss the w580, but this phone is simply brilliant

and yes, it has QVGA video recording (320x240 pixels @ 30fps), excellent.

300-600? Are you serious? It is one of the first SE to come with an internal GPS receiver. And with regards to the camera, K series SE are better, but the camera on this phone seems to be the same as my p1i which is pretty good. A walkmen phone with GPS, 3.2mp camera, new walkmen software with an accelorometer? My GOD! thats awesome

about the japanese high end phone; it is unlikely that that phone will reach any other market besides eastern asia. if you look at the 8mp camera phones that have been available in korea in 2005 you will understand why
complaining that this phone has a 2.2 vs a 2.4 inch screen is absolutely ludacris and makes no sense. a difference of 0.2 inches is minute and if you had two screens next to each other you'd barely be able to tell them apart
autofocus on sonyericsson are not as important, as all sony ericsson phones implement good photo capture which seems to eliminate the loss of this feature. i had a sony like that. barely noted the difference.
flash maybe a slight dissappointment, but most people who use flash wont mind buying the accesory. but even with flash the image looks the same unless takin in closed quarters or in close proximity to what you are taking a photo of.
GPS is a feaure of this phone, via third party programs such as google earth and other such programs, and therefore will not be for free

its been bout a year since my last post
but i'm back to answer any questions that you people post on this site
i'm referring to all previous posts and am answering them as i wrote them down on a page

this phone is not the first(sony) with push talk. there have been some with the feature outside china but the feature was hardly used and therefore hardly advertised. it is still rising in popularity together with VOIP on computers
the Q2 release is chosen specifically by sony ericsson. there are research analists who find out and plan which are the best times to release each phone, before it is completed. an example would be like the w850 which was released just before the da vinci code premierer. a movie in which it featured
on some sonyericsson sites they say the phone will have video call, but there is no video call camera. so all that can be assumed is that is either an error, or that the phone can only receive viedo calls but not send
the w760 comes with stereo speakers. there has been much speculation about the location of the speakers. there are only 2 prospect areas, at the base and on the rear as they both have speaker patterns on them, but it is more probable that it will be on either side the walkman logo at the bottom of the phone. noofficail reports out there
about the w series and k series killing each other, that is not ludacris, and a question that would bogle a consumer. unless you look at the entire sony range. each letter represents a certain type of phone. most of these series are independent and have their own sets of standards, and each attracts a different type of consumer group. the bigger the variation, the wider the customer range
the phone definitely has 3G.while WLAN and Wifi may feature according to some sites. i am not sure but most likely it will not
compared to the w910 this phone is almost identical. w760 is better except thatthe w910 has a full normal browser, while the w760 has a netfront browser, which is not much different
compared to the w890 the w760 once agin excels and is the better phone all round
bout the question about EDGE and HSCSD/HSDPA. EDGE is faster GPRS, which means faster access to the internet, HSDPA is faster than EDGE, which means super fast internet, SE developer site says that the phone has also got HSCSD, which is high speed cable sending device, or something to that extent
the w760 comes with Mobile Services Architecture(MSA) which enables it to use various of the newer features like the motion sensors accelarometer amongst other features. it falls under JSR248 which is a next gen. java umbrella software.
it is apparent from photos that the phone has great backlighting, also the walkman symbol on the back lights up too
the phone comes loaded with need for speed pro street, and when you drive you can use the motion sensor to steer the car.
if you note the walkman button has been relocated to the left hand panel. this is probably to make it easy to find as it is located next to the fast port, so when using earphones you can use it as a guide to the button, and it is to facilitate the slide, as well as to make its location convenient
the phone does come with TRACK ID, powered by gracenote. it enables you to record a piece of a song of the radio, and it will search the database and tell you what the name of the song is
the phone comes with a 3.15 i mean 3.2 megapixel camera(guys just round off like they do on the phone)
the phone comes with the autorotate feature, that changes the screen to lanscape if you turn it to the side
the phone is shipped with a 1GB M2 memory card and USB memorycard reader (for your convenience)
the phone has the same walkman player as the w850 and also has an intergrated mediaplayer that plays most formats of music and video which people use on phones and computers
it has the full shake feature. you not only shake it to change song, but according to statements, you shake it up to raise the volume and vice versa, and unlike previous SE phones with this feature, you can switch off the shuffle feature by shaking it in a circle
there has been confusion as to the function known as sense me. it is not the shakefunction nor the ability to mute sounds and alarms by waving your hands past the phone as in many early video reviews. SE say (and i have seen a pic of it) it is a way of arranging playlists according to how you feel. first you have to choose aong a two axis graph, whether it is fast or slow(left or right) or music for when you happy or sad(up and down)
there are two gaming buttons on either side of the speaker used for normal calls, those are the smalls squares you see on pictures
it comes with the d-pad navigation which lasts way longer than the joystick, is easier to use,and requires lessmaintenance(as dirt does not hinder movement like with the joystick) they double as controls for the media player
to show that sony do a lot of market research, they have finally brought triban HSPDA, as to say you can now roam on GPRS, EDGE and even 3G between all continents(and in areas where there is coverage)
last but not least, the phone will be released in Q2 and will be priced around $399

this is the coolest phone of SE..i really really love it. i have the w580 (which i'm overjoyed with it) but as soon as this gets launched on the market i will buy it...it has stereo speakers to ....it's simply gorgeus....3,2 mp camera ( i hope it has qvga video recording at least, not again qcif...) good good job SE.

the W series are for music. therefor the camera features are not so good. If you want good camera go for the K series

hey guys, how much will this phone cost in aprrox. price when it comes out? what is happening to sony with their camera's?? it has no more auto focus and flash!! i think this phone should cost around $330-$360 CDN. do anybody agree with that?

if you do not know what 'EDGE' and 'HSCSD' are then do not concern yourself about it. but it is the type of internet connection and speed it is able to do
