At the 1st time I look the w8, I think I have decided to buy it. But, the really important thing before I get it is..how far about the performance? I'm looking into the performance instead of features/design before I buy a new phone..can anyone give me recommandations about that?

I went to a cellphone store here in the philippines and the salesman from FONESTYLE told me that this phone is upgradable to Android 2.2 (Froyo). Is this true? and how I can upgrade it? Thanks!

You cannot install/move applications onto the memory stick for Android 2.1(Eclairs). That feature is available in Android 2.2(Froyo) and above. This phone will not have Adobe Flash support either. Please cross check before buying if SE plans to release higher versions of Android for this phone.

sony ericsson w8... well it got a gr8 audio as well as video quality. smooth touch. good camera.
the bad qualities are no zoom in camera and poor battery backup but a grt phone else....

its a great phone.... I own it a month before... the only -ve is it does not have equilizer and camera doed not have other advanced settings... but we can solved the problem by downloading required app.... but the most sad story is it has an outdated os.....

the notification ringtone could not change. always in default tone.
