SE must pull up their socks, its high time now.
Hardcore Walkman fans like me r pissed off by the Walkman handsets of today!
Perhaps the older Walkman fones provided that genuine walkman xperience. However the fones of today lag behind in most other areas besides the music.
The fone should hav promised an upgrade at least upto android 2.2 which d fone doesnt. + the battery is a major concern if u use internet or games.
Its high time SE. The brand has now no distributors in my city. N slowly the scenario mi8 expand if the company doesnt improve the fone quality, particularly its battery.
SE fones r always stylish n Walkman fones r d perfect answer to those friends of mine, who proudly say dat their nokia or samsung provides the best music xperience.
But if SE continues to bring such outdated fones to d market, 4 sure it will dissappoint a million Walkman lovers like me. :-(

i bought this phone in india june 20 2011..disappointed with its battery performance..only one day it with stands even i use less applications.mobile also little slow..expect these two the mobile is very good to use.

i was planning to go in for this phone. But after know... moreNo matter how hard SE is trying to convince you that this one is a "W" phone, this is still an Android smartphone. Meaning is:
- awesome music as usually provided by SE + adding into this a music app. from Market like PowerAmp or MixZing and you've got a great music player with equalisers, full bass and pre amplifier (and buy hi-fi stereo headsets with bass enhancement, 115 dB SPL or more)
- video also good with popular player like Mobo or Real player from Market
- internet is very good with Android web browser
- forget this one's camera, even with a good 3rd party app, the results are just so so
- decent battery performance with certain conditions

hi,
i was planning to go in for this phone. But after knowing that the fone doesnt hav megabass and equaliser, my intrest is declining.
So guys do suggest me any android fone with awesome music like Walkman.. Descent camera n video. Good build quality, nice battery, providing good gaming and internet xperience, fast processor and touch response.
I loved lg optimus one but the fone has average music experience.
I am a hardcore Walkman lover and suggest me the fone which has the music abilities of the Walkman and features of LG Optimus One around rs 10000

Anonymous, 19 Jun 2011 No preset / manual equalizer & no megabass settings ei... morei agree. no preset/manual equalizer, and of course the so much loved megabass. but for me it's fine. the sound is still crisp. not so good camera. i owned 3 walkman phones, w800, w960 ( the best walkman phone. too bad it was stolen ).then bought nokia x2 01. then went back to walkman phone for the third time.oh, and my wife has w705 also :) all in all, it's a good phone under P10,000.00.

Sony ericsson walkman phone, your new walkman phone more and more funny, not have mega bass, not have manual equalizer preset, i think Sony ericsson elm is better than new product sony ericsson walkman phone, please born again Sony ericsson W995!

hi.. recently bought SE W8 hand set.. i m quiet impressed with the set..Good sound quality, good touch screen response.. only thing i m not satisfied is with its battery back up... it hardly lasts for 8 hours...can any one tell(who owns this set)how is the battery back up..?? since it is new( just two days) i guess it takes some full discharges and recharges to come to knw about exact battery back up
