what kind of android is this 2.1,2.2 why just 600mhz atleast you can give 800mhz & screen 3inch that find atleast you can make it slimmer

Hi I bought this phone a month back.
Here is my honest feedback.
I am sony ericsson user for last 4 users so i was disappointed for the following reasons:-
1. walkman without mega bass - but install MixZing player from android market - Its really nice.
2. Camera without zoom - but video quality is nice.
3. movies run excellent on this phone.
4. mini speakers are something that will make others jealous.
5. touch is really really nice.
6. battery backup is around 24 hours even if you play games for few hours.
7. android 2.1 is not really an issue, you can still install a lot of applications.
8. It comes with a set of red and black cover so you can change them as per your wish.
In all, You can get 85%-90% of Iphone's features and only 9000 INR. So its really a great deal.

To all hu have problem with this unit.. Problem with battery!..Buy nokia 1100 it would last u 4 a week.. Problem with camera?.. Damn! buy a digicam theres a lot out there with low drop prices.. Problem with sound quality?.. Ha ha! there is always mp3 or mp4 players..See!.. Worth your money mates.. LOL

Many people have expressed unhappiness with this smartphone model. I have a few things to share on a positive side.
1) Music experience using will be good if you can install RealPlayer beta.
2) Android 2.1 seems more stable for the bundled hardware available in W8. I would like to hear if Android 2.3 gives any performance improvement in W8.
3) The battery needs better management from the user, at least 1 - 2 hrs. recharge every day is must. Note SE never claimed the battery to last more than 4 hrs.
4) For those preferring quantity over quality, there is always to choose from the variety of other makes of smartphones flooded in the market.

if sony erriction management specially xperia w8 listen or read, how kind of phone u made, u sale with this comment that it is a walkman phone but the sound quality is very poor. sony always known for quality but what happened in w8. if u have guds so replace all sold sony xperia w8

Sony Ericsson is not providing quality phones these days.
this phone is released in the 2nd quarter of 2011 & its android 2.1 ??
same in case of x8 & other phones. LG & Samsung are providing VFM & slim handsets with latest firmware, cheap price, comparatively bigger screen etc.

AnonD-22440, 17 Sep 2011i have activated gprs services on my w8!! bt after that a 3... moreden u must turn off the data traffic by setting->wireless n networks->mobile networks->press data traffic...u can enable it whenever u want to use the net..
an easier alternative is using a widget for data traffic.

Why am I not able to install Google voice search in this Handset? Everytime it shows This is incompatibe with your device? Why it is so?
