Its walkman version of xperia X8 thus given the name W8... Rest all is same in both these phones n i think X8 is better for the value of money coz even its OS updates r out n same is not in W8 though listening music on W8 is fun but still not bad in X8... Xperias will get an icecream sandwitch update in late this year but i wonder for W8...

Hi I was going to buy Sony ericsson W8 because I am a big fan of music and games specially of walkman series as I have W550 till now , but after reading comments on the net I am confused and some question rised in my mind to ask the experts who have greater knowledge of this profession. Please answer my below questions:
1.) As I came to know sony is not planning to add MegaBass feature to W8 till now but suppose if in near future they planned to do so then will I be able to upgrade my existing W8 to one with MegaBass feature? Will that upgrade be software based (which can be implemented to my existing W8 set) or hardware based (which can’t be implemented to my existing W8 set)?
2.) Same question about Multitouch. Whether I will be able to upgrade my existing W8 to multitouch without any hardware change, if in future any related upgrade comes from company?
3.) Can I change Android 2.1 to 2.2 or higher (officially or unofficially) so I can install large number of games and application in my W8 by using memory card of the phone?

Damn sexy ....i bought mine a week back....i just love it...but only sad part. is i haven't been able to configure mannully set up my GPRS Setting......So someone please solve my problem.......

@blacky - because the Android OS version is 2.1 and you cant copy your games and apps downloaded from the market to your SD card, it will automatically use your internal memory

can anybody clear my doubt?
i bought this fone recently and i started uploading gamz and apps. now it says that the phone memory is full. but the SD card still got 3 gb data. y shud it save the datas in the phone memory. is there any option to transfer the datas to SD card?

Guys.i get a battery backup of 16 hrs.i listen to a lot of music and use internet.it is because I use battery optimizer given in my own.dont say it has bad battery back up.
