after being a diehard nokia fan, then realising the error of my ways :) and becoming a diehard samsung fan, i wasn't too sure about this phone. i'd had a sony ericsson in the past and had major troubles with the joystick, but after reading the review and opinions i'm going to give them another go and get this phone. i'm not too keen on the orange colour but i suppose i''ll get used to it. just a question, does anyone know if this phone will take a 2 GB memory card? cheers :)

Hi,
I´m having problems in transfering music/songs to my w800. It deletes old files and some times it says the songs were transfered but when I go look they are not in the phone. I updated the phone software but it did not solve this bug. Does anyone know anything about that kind of problem ?

Hey guys.
To answer some previous questions, the phone memory can take up to 150 sms, the music quality is equal to ipod nano which means the quality is gr8. The lighty cream color of the original cover will not be gone quickly but will remain. Finally the joystick works perfect and will not be broken.
And the

Hi!
Everything in this phone tells me that´s the one to buy. Im usually a nokia fan, but this phone just seems to have it all! My only and biggest fear is the light creamy cover. When you look at the w800 samples in the stores they´re smooshie and grey looking just for people touching them. I really like the color of the w800, but does not want a telephone that does not stay in it´s originally color after a few month. Have anyone have that kind of problem??? Please let me know, thanks! :)

This phone is awesome. Thanks to gsmarena thru which i made my decision.I ve a problem where to get the battery cos i really play music so i need a backup battery. Now in Zambia and Botswana the batteries are not yet in. Can someone help, does w800i ve a specicic battery or does it use the same battery as previous Sony Ericsson battery already available like most nokia phones that use same battery type? Or does it 'share'a battery with any sony ericsson model previously made? Help please gents (and ladies)- Andrew Kwabula

Hi yeah yeah[vgud@hotmail.com]
This is a nice phone. If u listen to music via loud speaker, the batter drains quickly. and via headphones, u can listen for upto 20hrs in music mode. there r 2 mode, viz phone and music mode. In music mode, all radio transmitters will be off.
Secondly, menu display will never slow down even if u use 1GB and utilize all the space. so no problems in this area.
I found problems in photos and some music files. Some jpeg images and wav files will not open [error displayed: cannot playback file] though they work fine on other phones [like nokia and motorola]. The problem is in w800i only.
Regards
Dhananjay

it has a battery life around 300-370 hours standby. If you're a hardcore music person, it might last you around 2 days Max.

The phone is good, but the memory card is very bad. I used this phone for two days and in the first day the memory card got broken when I connected the phone to the computer. And I understood there is a problem with all w800 phones in that matter. But the phone is good. I wooldn't buy it again. :-)
