I was wondering if the W800 can have a memory stick upgrade of more than 512mb (which comes with the phone). I plan to buy this phone if and only if I can use a 2GB card as 512mb is a little less for my music needs. Someone please help.

These phones have a fault with the firmware. I have been informed by Sony Ericsson that the new firmware update will not sort out the issues with file transfer. The Update service has been removed from there UK website and there is no date as to when this will be resolved. I returned my handset as faulty as have many others. I have had it replaced with a Samsung D600. Why didnt I go for one of these in the first place. Far better to use and looks better too. Sony E will have to pull there socks up to do better. OK so the SE W800 has a big memory card included, not much cop if the firmware will not let you address it though. Well done Samsung. Not the sexiest name in the electronics industry but it blows the W800 away.

Does this phone have any security fetures, can i put a code on my message folder? for instance. can i code lock the main screen like you can on nokias? i hate people goung through my messages. lol. and it there a download that will enable this phone to play WMA and WMV files?
The Reveiw on this site suggests that the w800 is worth the extra money over the k750.

I wish to buy a phone for myself this Xmas, since some of you have own both the K750i ond the W800i is I am wondering which one I should go for ? The W800i is US$100 more expensive. Any valuable advise will be deeply appreciated..

This phone really has it all. My mum wondering how to switch the camera tone/shutter off. Do this phone support photo ID? I look through the mannal and cannot find any information regards the above matter. Any helpful advice will be very much appreciated.

hi everyone, does your w800i, give you a "fully charged" message alert when you all charged your phone turned on!!!! mine does not... so was just wondering if it was okey or a firmware problem or any problem whatsoever. Pls helppp!!!!

no, it does not support WMA files.. only MP3, MP4, WAV, MIDI.. i don't know if there are still some more..

Hi guys. As we know W800 ain't support any OS. I wanna know if there is any software (for example dictionary or MS office documents support or ...) to somehow instal on it to use. If there is, how can I reach it? any website to download from (prefer free ones)?
Almost every feature works well with this phone except video recording (the quality doesn't have much to say). the other thing that bothers me (comparing new phones generation) is its SMALL display size.
that's all guys. if any information about softwares, please let me know.

this is the best fone in the world i have used 13 fone but i like this one very much.ihave used nokia,samsung,sonyericson,motorola and imate pocket pc but now i have bued w800i. i love my fone

SUPER!...now i have over 70 games and over 80 themes on it!...Great pictures...and sound quality...extreme!It is even better than a iPod.
In fact phone is a secundary function of this...walkman:)...i'm very happy whit it!
