hey there.. that happened to me once too.. are you using the disc2phone software to transfer mp3's? what i did was i deleted all my songs but this time i didnt use the disc2phone software. what i did was i opened "My Computer", there i opened the "Removable Disk" drive then i used the old fashioned copy paste trick.. now my songs doesnt just disappear anymore.. try it..

Hi guys, wondering who can help me out this problem? Sometimes my mp3 songs disappeared after a while :( I dont know what happened. Does anyone have same problem as mine?

hmm.. i never encountered that problem.. try reinstalling the software..
by the way, try restarting your pc.. i had that same prob just now.. i disconnect my unit then when i connect it again it didnt detect my phone. i tried restarting my pc and connect the phone again and it work again.. try it..

i tried uninstalling the quick time but it still doesn't work. whenever i double click the "not connected" icon, it doesnt do anything. but its funny cuz it will still show a phone icon on the bottom right of my task bar (next to the volume icon, etc)

hey, i just wanna add that when you open the file manager, it will show and icon with a questionmark in it and below it says not connected.. just double click that icon and wait a sec, then voila! that is how i did it.. try it, it might work..

by the way about your question, now that you mention it, i tried installing the pc suite and the disc2phone software to my pc 1st without attaching the cable and phone. after installing, i connect the cable and phone and it successfuly detects my phone.. try installing the pc suite 1st before connecting ur phone.. hope this helps..

hey..i have the same problem with my pc suite. i put it in, nothing pops up so i decided to go to my comp. and e drive. the sony ericsson window pops up and i click it and then it says "end now". but my comp does detect my phone. i just cant use pc suite.

levi, i had the same problem with the software when i got my phone, but i just delete "quick time player" of my computer and then all works succeful!!
so why don't you try that?

yeah, i noticed that too the moment i got my phone. but dont let that disappoint u. it will eventually break in and will soften up. question: have u tried installing the software it came with??? the PC suite doesnt seem to work fine for me. the problem is that when i connect the phone to the usb port of my desktop, the pc isn't reading the phone. it shows an icon on the bottom right (by the time/date display) but when i access "my computer" it doesn't show up on the screen...
anyone have this problem???
any solution???
PS: anyone tried using a 2 gb mem stick??? does it really work fine???

hey guys.. just got the phone today!! its so amazing.. but suddenly i noticed that it's kind of hard to push the up button.. whenever i scroll up, instead of going up, i can accidentally push it.. you guys having the same problem?

i am so happy... i was able to download the whole movie of Mary and Joseph into my cellphone. so great! i watched it almost everyday. :-) who would think i carry with me a whole movie into such a small gadget??? sony ericsson is so smart!
anyway, my mem stick is almost full. i wanted to convert my MP3s into MP4s but how? i hope someone would help me. thanks a lot. :-)

guys what exactly is the difference between a 3g and a non 3g phone, what can a 3g do that a non 3g cannot? reason is cause i want a SE w800i but it isnt 3g and i am wondering if i would be better off buyin a 3g fone

Yes, this phone does support mp4 files, as a matter of fact, I only have mp4's on my phone and quality is excelent (same as mp3) but it goes on half the space.
In general:
Trying to use the disc 2 phone is not so good, i'd recomend just creating ur own files via my computer remembering to place a file for artist then another one for album and at last the songs. i personaly use this as playlists and how i xfer them from media player to my phone ejjeje

great memory,no need to say anythin abt
the camera quality of sony eric phns...
i jst got it a week back.
before that i was havin nokia 6680
but this one gr8

1) Mp3 will prompt playback fail without know any reason. u have to restart the phone.

The camera and mp3 quality are amazing...but sometimes it hangs especially when playing mp3.And no EDGE technology(i need it for mobile broadband).
